Food was pretty good, I ordered the chorizo & egg and potato and egg tacos while my partner had the shrimp tacos. My ONLY reservation is the tortillas. They’re not made in house, and unfortunately thats what makes or breaks a taco - is a good tortilla. Besides that, I was a bit disappointed to have paid $3 for a tiny little Tropicana OJ with “*Ingredients not found in regular orange juice,” on the label whatever that means. I’m not disappointed for trying this place, but I can’t say I have a reason to return if not for the appeal of the $1 mimosas on the weekend happy hour. Service was prompt and polite, and the restaurant itself has an amazing atmosphere which could make up for the food if that’s more important to you. I’m sure it’d be a great spot to have a quick lunch with friends or family but I was hoping to scratch my taco itch while on a trip in Austin and just couldn’t stand the doughy, pale tortillas.

Great time and atmosphere. Juan welcomed us like we had been here 100 times. A great staff with Authentic Mexican flavor. Not Torchy's, Qdoba, Fuego, but Kesos. Authentically Mexican with a modern feel. Puerco rojo taco and barbacoa were our favoritos and the chips and salsa is a plus! Definitely come!

I was surprised by how good the tacos were. My boyfriend who goes over there said they were good but I underestimated what he meant. The tacos a pretty big and 2 are enough to fill you up. Compared to torchys you get more food here. The inside was really clean and had a ton of bright light. I had the al pastor taco that was really good. I also had the fajita which was also good, but the pastor was better. My boyfriend gets the fire chick and the rise and shine. The only compliant he’s had is that the tacos are really oily and greasy at times, but not all the time. Unfortunately it results in him having heartburn. He also said that good has gotten significantly better over the last 2 years. The wait time was incredibly fast, even when it was really busy. The salsas were also good, I liked the green one (not the avocado one). I would recommend this restaurant! I will say that’s it’s very pricey now.

First of all, they have a great menu. They're great about changing what comes on a taco. They're beyond friendly. And they serve their full menu all day.

Those factors should lead to a higher review, but for a couple of reasons, Keso's didn't do it for me. First of all, neither of my tacos were a home run with me -- in fact, they were a bit bland. Both the Classico (their version of Al Pastor) and the BBQ Brisket taco were devoid of heat, even with their standard salsa. The diced nature of the pineapple and the pork were different than the usual Al Pastor. And I had to look inside my brisket taco to see what I was eating. In fact, the brisket had no smoke flavor at all. Finally, the queso was creamy, but didn't have either a strong cheese taste or heat.

And unlike a lot of other places right now, Keso's is still strictly following COVID precautions. I don't mind the attention to hygiene I can even handle the masking requirement. However, there are no condiments or utensils for self-service. That means you have to ask for everything from the staff. And the gentleman at the counter today asks how much of each item you want. He's probably trying to be friendly, but it gives off the feel of...

I was planning on eating here and buying a vape across the street. I parked here and ran across the street because the vape shop was about to close. I was gone from around 10 mins and when I came back for dinner my vehicle was tagged and booted. It cost me $100 to get the boot off my vehicle. I tried explaining I was going to go in for tacos and the person booted my vehicle could watch me go inside the establishment and he didn’t care. I understand the parking lot is reserved for their customers but I was their customer. I would have happily gone in and supported the establishment and purchased food from them but when I have to pay $100 to get the boot off my vehicle and there’s no reasoning with them I can’t afford to pay $100 for parking plus whatever they charge for food. I would have happily brought out a receipt showing I supported their establishment but they didn’t care. I understand I was in the wrong for going somewhere else first but it was only because of the hours or operation between the two places. I felt like my business wasn’t valued regardless of my efforts to comply with their rules on parking. It left a bad taste in my mouth and I will...

Was looking forward to trying them out. Ordered my bean-cheese-bacon on corn tortillas tacos. They were delivered to the table and would have been 5-stars, but they were on flour AND the folks who take food to the tables don’t check for accuracy. Bummer.

VISIT #2: really want to love this place. I DON’T WANT FLOUR TORTILLAS!!! I told the young lacy that me previous visit made my tacos with flour and I wanted corn. She kinda smiled at me. I told her even the food runner didn’t check the order (tacos are not wrapped—served open face on a plate. Ordered the same exact thing I had gotten on previous visit, and STILL GOT FLOUR! She delivered the order to our table, and I looked down at my plate and asked, “are those corn?” She answered “no,” and took them back into the kitchen. Not sure if it’s a ESL language problem (I switched to Spanish for part of my conversation during ordering). The receipt showed “corn” so the cooks got it wrong BOTH times, but the runner should check the order as they get it ready to deliver it...
