Came in with a group of 5 on December 3rd at 11pm and our server’s attitude was extremely off-putting. Off bat, she never introduced herself so reporting her by name for what happened is off the table. To start, we were sat for a while before we were served (which is completely understandable), so we already had an idea on what we wanted. My friend went first and he ordered but when she asked for the flavor, he realized he hadn’t really thought about it. Now, it takes like 5 seconds to decide on a flavor but as he was in the middle of thinking about it she said, “You could just take more time” in a very non-friendly manner. Later on when she was serving us our food and apologizing for the wait, my friend raised his hand, and mid-sentence she stopped, lost her posture, and said “Yes?” like before, in a non-friendly manner. Thirdly, when we were paying our bill, my friend pressed no tip on the pad because he was planning on tipping in cash by leaving it on the table. But I guess she took the no tip to heart because she audibly sighed and proceeded to aggressively handle my card as I was next. Even in that moment, while I wasn’t happy with her service, I tipped her 20% anyway. As for the third order, my other friend opted not to tip because he wasn’t okay with her service and attitude. After she left she came back with a to go plate as requested and what she said next shocked all of us. I kid you not she said verbatim, “Did I do anything wrong?” At first, I assumed she realized that we didn’t appreciate her attitude, but we answered “No” to her because we were confused about the question. She then repeated the question and we responded with the same answer. She then said, “I’m really stressed about college right now and I’m working night shifts so I’m just trying to understand why I’m not getting tipped for my hard work.” Ma’am…What hard work? We saw you probably a total of three times and in those three times, your attitude was not it. You brought more drinks to another table but never once asked if we wanted anymore water. The fact that she had the nerve to say all of these things and dump on us in front of the entire restaurant was disgusting and unprofessional. That was arguably the worst customer experience I’ve ever had and I hope she ultimately realizes what she did wrong, after my friend explained to her the reason why...
Read moreWe went to eat at pluckers as we normally do.. normally everything is very delicious of course we usually go in the afternoons this time we decided to go for lunch.. it is worth mentioning that we are frequent customers at this location in Rio Grande, this time we ordered the appetizers and After 5 minutes they asked us if we were ready to order the food and we said yes although we still didn't have our apetazier... half an hour later the cold appetizers arrived completely cold, some of the fries were hard and difficult to eat... after 5 minutes the food arrived. Food also cold.. but I only told the waitress that our appetizers were cold.. then we ordered a brownie that came almost frozen and on this occasion I decided to ask to speak to the manager.. (a short girl who wears a red shirt).. she cameto our table ; I told her about the brownie with the fries and she offered to reheat the brownie... I told her no thanks and she insisted a lot and took it away ; but she came back with another different brownie cut in half too thin... my children started to eat. eat it but I suggested that they not do it since. It looked a little strange.. anyway.. the manager returned to the table (with a somewhat abrupt attitude when she asking), obviously you could see the discontent in her attitude when she asking if we liked the Brownie.. I responded that I didn't even dare to touch the brownie ; ...and she ignored me... I don't know why she ask if I liked it; perhaps by inertia? Anyway, this location deserves a better manager or better staff... maybe training? .. we have more than 10,000 points accumulated in the pluckers application .. and this location is the closest to our department, it is sad to have to go to other locations further away to receive good service, some warm wings, and a brownie At least well heated in the microwave... the next time I see one of the founders of pluckers I'll make the comment... it's a shame I've only seen them in that location. (I forgot to mention that we piled up the plates near the edge of the table before ordering the brownie and neither the waitress nor the manager removed them. Remember that the manager was at the table three times and all 3 times the stack of plates was there... and never She bothered to remove them. I insist on thet should returning to training. especially her and her staff in...
Read moreThis place is so good! I wish I knew her name but the first time I had been here, it was the week after ACL on the Wednesday trivia nights, and our server was so great with the amount of noise and commotion. I do not know her name, but she had blonde hair if that is useful at all. I rated 4 stars because there needs to be more vegetarian and vegan options! A chain like pluckers needs to accommodate this better. They have a few so it’s not like there is none, just limited. Also, I applied to work here, and got paid $30 for simply doing the training videos at the place BYE😭 They also gave me free food after like thank you so much for that. I did not end up taking the job, but the manager was extremely nice here. He was super nice and this was my FIRST job interview ever!! It gave me high hopes for future job interviews because he made the place seem great. I might end up working here in the future depending on my schedule. Also, I believe workers get free food after every shift which is amazing if you are on a budget and need a job. The only thing is for workers, I believe they are not allowed to have some piercings which is really odd to me, especially in Austin. I had just gotten a septum and knew I would have to remove it while working here aka knowing it would close. That is a big reason I declined the job because of how strict the attire is for workers with their hair, accessories, and clothes. Nonetheless, I...
