Mendocino Farms — Restaurant in Austin

I was visiting a friend in Austin for the weekend and I remember going to Mendocino farms in California and loving it so wanted to try it here. It was wonderful! We walked in during the lunch rush which (to me is a good sign when it’s busy but others hate that not sure why) so waited in line and checked out the seasonal menu. Approached the register to order and the manager, Alex was right there SUPER friendly and just was talking to us about our day and what we were interested in. I got the Thai Mango Salad, my friend who is vegetarian got the Vegan Banh Mi, both were really good! Regardless of the lunch time rush we had a table to sit at, the manager came back around after we ate to see if everything was good. Really like how Austin has another Mendocino Farms I’m sure it’ll continue to grow...

Honestly really disappointed. I've been looking forward to this opening for so long. Maybe I came too close to the open, but the November to remember sandwich only had like 2 pieces of chicken on it - so skimpy and incredibly sloppy! And we didn't get the cup of soup we ordered in our to-go order. You can tell they're still trying to work out the kinks, but as one of my favorite places in Cali - just really, really bummed. Such a great restaurant and location! Their Peruvian steak sandwich and chicken parm were delicious and the green juice was so refreshing! Also the manager Emily is the absolutely the best!!!
