I have been to another location a few years back, and was looking forward to a new experience in the Austin area location since I was happy with the service and experience the first time around. I made reservations here for Valentine's Day and showed up at 930 for our dinner, I had confirmed ahead of time that.. 1, they offered valet service. 2, they said they would valet my car even at a 930 dinner.. back to our arrival!.... we pulled up to the front of the restaurant (busy night due to Valentine's day) and we were told that they were very busy and were not sure they could attend to us. I straightened out that valet guy real quick and was given my ticket stub (reluctantly) and we walked in. I had been to the previous location for a Thanksgiving dinner so I knew that it would be busy, however this place was a lil "unorganized" is the way I would describe it.. from there seating selection to the hostess staff. Once seated our waiter made the first impression experience and other negative details subside and become less of a concern. He was very attending, answered all of our questions, had suggestions and very personable!. We ordered the Tomahawk steak, which came out exactly how we ordered it and the sides were delicious, as expected. The drinks were prompt and correct.. I don't have any other negative comments except for the rose's they gave my GF at the end of dinner were the ugliest ones I've seen (of course she had nice ones at home!:)) and on another note my waiter kept just staring away at my GF's breasts while talking to her as he stood over our table engaged (in his defense she dressed up for me:D and I choose her outfit) but no harm done, and they valet guys were still there when we stepped out at 1130 or so and my truck as parked and ready to go. I would say there's areas this place could improve, but I was pleased with my visit here and will return soon on a more regular day to see the difference, They have great steaks!.

The place is very interesting and I would definitely go back there again for dinner. They served me the best NY strip that I've had in a long long time. It was a perfect medium temperature and so well seasoned, which is rare in the U.S. steakhouses (unfortunately!). My husband's ribeye was a little less perfected, so were the appetizers. Lobster bisque was so so, and my salad didn't wow me either; which means that their chef knows how to cook steak but doesn't really care about anything else. Sides were OK, but too big for me. Presentation of their food could also use some more finesse in my opinion. We went there for our first wedding anniversary; they remembered it and kindly took care of a desert, which was very good, especially the chocolate cake that didn't overpower the palette with sweetness. Very good espresso and very good service in general. But I was a bit disappointed by their wine selection, which is impressive in the quantity but not so much in the quality. They need to change the sommelier; Italian wines were limited pretty much to Tuscany which isn't my favorite wine region in Italy. Where are all the Amarones, Barolos, and Montepulcianos? Spanish selection didn't have any Riojas, which are my favorite. French wines too focused on Bordeaux, I like to have some St. Juliens and Margauxs. Generally boring boring selection of wine that doesn't go well with their excellent steak. Even our Argentinian Malbec was underwhelming and too in the style of Pinot Noir which shouldn't be even called wine (LOL). AND, our aperitif in the form of a Prosecco wasn't bubbly enough for me. It was open for too long and shouldn't have been served at all. A bit more advise on the wine would have been nice too. All in all, an excellent steakhouse that follows the social distancing guidelines during the pandemic.

My recent dining experience at Capital City Grill left me spellbound and eager to share my excitement with fellow food enthusiasts. As a dedicated steak aficionado, I have had the pleasure of visiting many renowned steakhouses, but Capital City Grill stands out as an exceptional gem in the heart of our city.

From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance. The elegant decor and cozy seating created an atmosphere of sophistication without feeling overly formal. The attentive staff, clad in crisp attire, were knowledgeable, friendly, and ready to provide impeccable service throughout the evening.

Now, let's get to the star of the showโ€”the steaks! The menu at Capital City Grill boasts an impressive selection of premium cuts, each carefully sourced and expertly prepared. From the first bite, it was evident that their commitment to quality and culinary mastery was unparalleled. The steaks were cooked to perfection, with a beautiful char on the outside while maintaining a juicy and tender interior. The flavors were well-balanced, allowing the natural richness of the meat to shine through. Whether you prefer a classic filet mignon, a succulent ribeye, or a flavorful New York strip, Capital City Grill offers an exceptional steak for every palate.

Beyond the remarkable steaks, the restaurant offers an array of delectable sides and accompaniments. The garlic mashed potatoes were velvety and seasoned to perfection, while the creamed spinach provided a delightful balance of creaminess and earthiness. Additionally, the wine list was extensive, offering an excellent selection to complement the meal.

The attention to detail extended to the presentation of each dish, as they arrived beautifully plated and garnished with finesse. It was evident that the kitchen staff took great pride in their craft, consistently delivering dishes that were not only delicious but also visually stunning.

Finally, I must mention the impeccable dessert selection. Indulging in the decadent chocolate lava cake was a delightful conclusion to an extraordinary dining experience. The dessert menu showcases creativity and culinary expertise, providing a sweet ending that left me craving more.

In conclusion, Capital City Grill is a steak lover's paradise that sets the bar high for fine dining experiences. The combination of exquisite steaks, exceptional service, and an inviting atmosphere makes it a top-notch destination for any occasion. Whether you're celebrating a special event or simply looking for an unforgettable dining experience, I wholeheartedly recommend Capital City Grill. Prepare to be pampered and treated to a culinary journey that will leave a...

Generally while dining at any upscale steakhouse with a refined setting one would expect. However, Capital Grill failed to truly deliver.

Dress code was emphasized to me when the reservation was confirmed. We also notice a sign stating they have a strict dress code. The four men who were seated next to our table all had on tennis shoes, jeans and t-shirts. Not to mention the four men were saying th Fword with every other word.

Our waiter clearly took disinterest in us when we ordered ice tea and water. He took 25 minutes to finally come back to say "are you all ready to order?" I asked that we receive our appetizers and then 10 minutes or so later our mains. Only because we ordered everything at once since we had 25 minutes to decide amongst the three of us. What he did was put in our appetizers then completely forgot to put in our order for entrees. 45 minutes later after he realized his mistake he came to tell us that one of our entrees was no longer available. He didn't apologize for his mistake just left me with a menu to figure it out. I want to add that they were at 40% or less capacity. Another thing Capital Grill never used on our table was any sort of Table crumbers. In fact we still had plates from appetizers when we finally received entrees 1.5 hours after we arrive. And they were closing. Once I had out mains I asked to speak to a manager. The staff that served us lacked in the simplest thing but are what seperates high end from just a standard steakhouse aside from all of the above mentioned shortfalls. Failing to Serve from a guest's left, using your left hand, and clear from their right, using your right hand. Refill empty glasses promptly. Stay alert to customers' efforts to get your attention. Watch for indications that they have finished their meal and offer dessert, coffee and the bill without delay. In closing and also very disapointing our server was not presentable. He had on the same attire.as the other server however his hair was disheveled. His pants seem to big and wrinkled. Not to mention that his mask was not covering his facial hair which was poorly kept. Personally I would never recommend or return to...
