I’m from the Bay Area California, I know good food. My friend and I were in town for business and were wandering the streets looking for a good place to eat. We almost passed up this place because it didn’t look that interesting. Plus, when I’m starving and in Texas, crepes are not really what comes to mind for food options. I mean really, who says “mmm I’m really up for some crepes today”? No one, unless you’re French, or from Beverly Hills.
Well, I’m definitely coming back every time I come here.
The chef was awesome - great personality. The employees worked great together. The food - I can’t say enough about the food. Words cannot do the food justice - you just have to try it.
Here is some perspective- the food looks amazing, and it tastes better than it looks. You get that?
Every single customer that finished their meal walked back up to return their plates and each and every one of them said “Thank you so much,” “That was delicious,” “This was absolutely amazing thank you.”
I don’t even think they ask people to bus their plates, but that is just how satisfied the customers are with their experience.
When I asked the owner if he makes sure to ask people to leave reviews, he said “I don’t like to push. People do it on their own. If we’re doing a good job and they like our stuff, it’ll happen - naturally.”
Thank you for a wonderful experience and amazing food. Please consider franchising and opening a shop in the Bay Area. Oakland, Berkeley, San Ramon Valley are all ripe for this...
Read moreThe food is delicious, and the setting is unique, but the service is a bit slow.
The restaurant is located in the lobby of the Scarbrough Building. It’s a small space, with only around eight tables and a tiny kitchen behind the counter. It’s a bit hard to locate from outside. There’s no big sign on the window indicating the restaurant’s name, just a plastic A-frame sign outside the building’s doors.
When I got there, four of the eight tables were empty but the dirty dishes had not yet been cleared. It took close to 10 minutes for the tables to be bused.
Because the kitchen is so small, I’d recommend going up to the counter to order as soon as you get there. I believe you can also place your order online using the QR code on the table, but I didn’t try that method.
I ordered the lox n found, a toasted croissant roll with smoked salmon, avocado, dill ricotta, arugula, onion, and capers. The menu says it also comes with a side of roasted potatoes, but mine didn’t come with that. The sandwich was delicious and filling, so I definitely didn’t need them, but I do feel like I didn’t get...
Read moreThis is the absolute best place for brunch in downtown Austin. We’ve been coming here at least once a month for the past two years and have NEVER been disappointed! Hands down the best sweet crepes in Austin, the croissant sandwich itself deserves a Michelin star, and savory crepes are perfect for brunch or lunch. All of the ingredients are fresh and made to order and the menu changes based on what’s in season (if you’re lucky enough to eat there when the peach or lemon crepes are on the menu JUST GET THEM). Sometimes seating inside is limited but they have outdoor seating and couches inside as well so we’ve never had to wait for a place to sit. This place also has great vibes, great music, and the staff is amazing! They are super helpful, give the best suggestions, and you can tell they are passionate about not only the food but also the customer experience. Major shoutouts to Marissa - she always goes above and beyond and is such a genuine delight! If you’re thinking to yourself I want to try something new but not sure if this place is worth it,...
