I recently visited Burger Hut with a couple of friends, and overall, it was a satisfying experience. Here's a breakdown of everything:
🍔 Food & Taste: 4.5/5 Let’s start with the most important part – the food. I ordered the Cheese Blast Chicken Burger, and it was absolutely delicious! The patty was juicy, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the sauces added the right amount of zing. The fries were crispy and fresh — not overly salty, just right. My vegetarian friend had the Paneer Tikka Burger, and he loved the smoky flavor and the soft, fresh bun.
🪑 Ambience & Cleanliness: 4/5 The place isn’t very large, but it’s well-maintained and clean. The decor is simple with a modern touch, and there was light background music that added to the vibe. It was a bit crowded during peak hours, but we got a table fairly quickly.
👨🍳 Service: 3.5/5 The staff was polite and courteous, but the food took around 15–20 minutes to arrive, possibly due to weekend rush. We had to remind them for water and condiments, but they were professional throughout.
💰 Value for Money: 4/5 Prices were quite reasonable given the portion size and quality. A burger + fries combo cost around ₹200–₹250, which is fair for the quality and...
Read moreIn a town like Bakersfield where restaurant ratings are based on tradition and age rather than taste and quality the Burger Hut provides a welcome retreat to enjoy a wide variety of food that is great in quality while arguably serving the best "frycook" style burgers (Tied with the Woolworth Diner). The atmosphere is lacking and it is not in the best neighborhood however the burgers and sandwiches are worth it, the fries are always fresh and cooked to a extra crispy consistency on the outside with a fluffy hot center.
The teriyaki offerings are palatable and sure to sate the appetite with their extra large portions however they do suffer from a bland base that the sauce attempts to fix but fails to invigorate the eater to finish it in one sitting. Other faire such as corn dogs and breakfast offerings could be considered average but are by no means bad and will always taste consistent but should be considered alternative offerings to those unwilling to indulge in the restaurants namesake.
The atmosphere is dismal, seating is minimal and the restroom arrangement is laughable however, the food will surely change your mind if you decide to eat at the...
Read moreI used to love this place. Great burgers and fries for a good price. The wait was always very long but the food almost makes up for it. And you used to be able to shave 10-15 minutes off the wait time by calling in your order before you go.
But I guess they don't answer their phone anymore. So, no advance orders and you're expected to wait the usual 20-30 minutes for a burger and fries. I'm not really sure if it is worth the wait. The seating area is extremely small and during a busy lunch hour there is no seating available.
I just tried calling to place a large lunch order for our office and nobody answered. We were all looking forward to the bacon cheeseburgers here and called repeatedly, hoping that they were just too busy to answer. Nope. Called about a dozen times and nobody answered. I guess we'll have to find a new dive to order from.
Are they still in business? If so, do they not answer their phone anymore? They're not today. 10 AM Friday...
