My father and I tried Ming's Cafe at lunch for the first time today. Walking in, there was only 1 other customer in the restaurant which was a bit unnerving. Bad food? Bad service? Poor health department ratings? Nope. I think this one just slipped under the radar over time.
The menu serves some classic American dishes such as Baby Beef Liver and Onion but of course also has delicious Chinese such as Kung Pao Chicken and Beef and Broccoli. The later two dishes I've tried already -- compelled to order Chinese at a Chinese restaurant! I'm looking forward to trying the Beef Liver but simultaneously anxious because low volume kitchens don't always have the freshest meats, especially with something like liver.

Read moreI used to eat here before the remodel and today came back after a 15 year hiatus. The food is still good at a great price. The Chinese food is well sized for the price and tastes about 55% close to the street food i used to eat in beijing when i was hunting down Triads with interpol. 55% aint bad in my book and hell i even eat 5 star places like craft steak Las Vegas or Tao but...... Im definitely making her a character in my movie when ever my dirctor gigs pulls through. The Burger is actually fresh.... not like “i just killed the steer fresh”.....but more along the lines of “i bought the chuck this morning.” Any whoo i love the tacky decore...

I told them the soup was not good - it had no seasoning and it was lukewarm at best. The Kung pow chicken and mushroom chicken was anything but. The chow mein looked to be recycled along with the vegetables on the plate and the rice was cold. But our moment of desperation arrived when the cook attempted to explain that the specials we ordered was the cheapest dish on the menu and was not the best of food choices because of price. Shocking. The AC was out - the place is empty and We will not be returning. Consume at your own risk as for me I’m going to the...
