THE REVIEW: Cakes in the City For this review, I purchased a half a dozen cupcakes, three different flavor options.

FOOD: I believe cupcakes are a microstory of what you should expect for larger items of purchase. Taste, cake, crafting, and other attributes are going to be the same on both sides.

Let’s break this down into frosting and then the cake compound by itself.

Usually, I am quick to take a finger, wipe and remove all frosting from most cake offerings. The over sugared blandness does nothing to enhance the food. Not so here. In fact, that’s the first taste I had. Cold from proper refrigeration, and airy with a proper amount of sugar to match with the creaminess.

The cupcake: the red velvet was not only moist, and yet somewhat dense, but the chocolate component was recognized throughout. Sometimes flavored cupcakes can be bland in the cake portion because of improper ingredient combinations. This was an enjoyable experience.

The chocolate lovers cupcake was tasty as well, though I would have enjoyed a dark chocolate shaving on top; perhaps an espresso powdering to offer an another flavor level of taste.

Cupcake Overall...

A few weeks ago, I was searching for a Black-owned business to provide delicious treats for a family celebration. I stopped in without notice and was warmly welcomed by Cassaundra, also known as the Cake Lady, who kindly assisted me with an impromptu tasting. After discussing the party size and type of event, she helped me choose the perfect treats—lemon, signature chocolate, and red velvet mini cupcakes. They were an absolute hit!

Pickup was a breeze, with the order ready even earlier than agreed, which helped the day run smoothly. Several guests raved about the cupcakes, and we made sure to share where they could find them. Perfection!!! I found this company on the internet while searching for someone to make my daughter's birthday cake. I could not find anyone and was skeptical about hiring off the internet. I'm so glad I did it! SHE IS AMAZING! Very sweet, patient and worked with me on my ideas. I ended up ordering more than just the cake. The cake, the strawberry shooters and the cake pops were a super big hit at the party! They didn't last long at all. Not only was the cake absolutely gorgeous and elegant, it tasted amazing!!!
