***Final update*** SHE WAS TASTE TESTING THE CHILLI! It wasn't "soup", liar. It looked like meat sauce but I couldn't figure out what it could be. As I walked into the shop, she was raising a big cooking spoon up to her mouth. She put it in her mouth and then back into the pan and continued to stir. She cooks the chilli you serve and serves herself in the process. On second thought, I think I will make a report with the health department. She probably let the kids running around the kitchen try it too. I don't care how "clean" it looks, you shouldn't be eating while you're cooking and taste testing the food you serve to the public. *2nd Update* In my first review I even said your place looked clean so your ignorant and childish response to call me a "hater" is going overboard and you know it. You're a liar and unclean. I'm sure I'm not the first person to notice. I clearly saw you cough on my first order and still paid for it AND came back to order again days later. You're just butt hurt that someone had the balls to call you out for it. Sorry not sorry, no more sweaty germy meats for me. *1st Update* You and I both know I wasn't rude. We had a lovely conversation the first time I visited but the general public should know that you had a woman eating out of a pan she was stirring in plain sight and the fact that you coughed 3x's when you made my food. It doesn't really matter if it was just her food, though I don't believe that. She was definitely cooking and tasting the food. Who knows if she served it to the public. She was in the kitchen as kids ran around her. One had just come from wiping the front window, no hand washing at all. He just ran up to the stove where she was eating from a big pan. That's ok at your home, but when you're preparing food for the public, no one wants to see that. It's disgusting, actually. No one's hating on a hoagie shop. I obviously liked the first sandwiches you made despite you coughing all over them. My only complaint is that the hoagie was dry and that's fixable. Your problem is your pride. You don't want to be told that something you're doing is gross. I tried to address it politely in the store but you got an attitude. Don't flip it. This ain't Philly. Nobody's gotta deal with your attitude and unsanitary ways. And, the board of health doesn't know you've got random people and their kids in your kitchen who are eating from a pan but I'd be happy to alert them if you like! I wouldn't have written a bad review if you had the common sense and decency to understand and professionally address a valid customer concern. You can keep your germ infested meats. ******** The first time I went, the owner was coughing as he made my sandwiches. For some reason, I let it slide. The second time I went in, just as I walked in the door, a woman in the kitchen (surrounded by at least two kids) was eating from a spoon that she'd been stirring in a big pan. I asked the owner if she was eating from the pan. He said, she's got soup. I said, but she's eating the food she's cooking. He again stated that she's eating soup. What was in the pan didn't look like soup. So I paused to process what he was saying and then I said "I just don't like people eating while they're preparing my food. He said, she's not preparing your food. Then, as I looked at the menu he said, they gotta eat too. As of to imply that I was denying her food or something. It was odd. So I decided against ordering again. It appears clean, the floors, walls, etc but coughing while you're fixing food for someone w/out covering your mouth and then taste testing the food and using the same utensil in the food is stomach turning. It's actually unsanitary and it didn't seem to matter to him. He was noticeably annoyed by my bringing it up, and I was polite about it. I ended up just leaving and I won't return. The hoagie I had the first time was a bit dry, but I could ask for extra dressing. It was good otherwise. Good doesn't matter when the food could be contaminated with someone's bodily fluids.

**Update: attached a photo to show a cross section of a loaded OG Hoagie 😮‍💨 this is 2 days later because I couldn't eat the whole thing. Look at how it's not soggy?! Tastes as good as day 1. We have been coming to Danny for our cold cut cravings for awhile now, and we were excited that he opened a bigger shop with an even bigger menu. We always get the OG Italian Hoagie with everything on it - including extra hot peppers (🔥). It's a huge sandwich for a great price - my partner and I usually split it or save half of each sandwich for another meal. **Note - sandwich can be saved another day without going soggy because he knows how to make a real sandwich. Today (12 September) we finally tried th crab cake sandwich and it was DELICIOUS! We were reluctant because even some of the top rated seafood spots in Baltimore sell you crab cakes from a can & are down right awful. So, to say this hoagie spot whips up a bomb crab cake says something! It's fried, not broiled so let this set your expectation since not all folks appreciate their crab cakes fried. Pros: Prices are very fair. Portions generous and good quality. The service averages between 10-15 minutes for two large sandwiches. Danny and his staff are friendly and happy to serve the community. Cons: I can't eat here every day. The staff doesn't hold your hand in asking every single thing you want, so come to the counter only when you're ready to order - this isn't a Subway.

My family and I stumbled upon a sandwich shop while doing our daily walk. I went in first happy and excited because I love sandwiches and we were hungry. I stated "Hello I am happy to be here 😊" no response. I decided to move forward by asking for the 2meat sandwich. The wait was over 20 minutes although the restaurant was empty (2:44pm left at 3:09pm . I asked when would it be ready and the man started getting a bit snappy because I guess they think all black people are the same with the same personality and taste buds according to the terrible sandwich I paid $17 whole bucks for! ... Just basic food but terrible customer service, if u don't believe me feel free to stop by and try this nasty Oscar Myers meat and tons of mayo along with a tall glass of lack of unawareness of the neighborhood/Community and failure to provide good customer service. 1. All black people don't eat butter pickles. Some enjoy kosher 2. All Black people do not enjoy a sandwich full of mayonnaise 3. All Black people do love great or good customer service 4. All employees should be working if customers visit the restaurant or else go in the back where they are not visible!!!. Tip. Try using boar's head products and take a customer service course on how to attend to all customers. Peace ✌🏾
