Looked on Google for a place with good food and great reviews close to my job and found this place as the #1 recommendation. We got to the place and were immediately sat down, and handed the Beer and food menus. There was no Liquor (which is the only thing I can drink since I cannot have bubbles due to a medical condition) but that is my fault for not looking at the menus prior to arriving. Beer selection was large and good for my coworkers. But this is where it goes down hill. We ordered food, and besides the fact that the bartender is the server and the cook as well, the food was below the quality of frozen food from a box. The sampler platter was clearly cooked in an air fryer or oven at best. The onion rings where dry and burnt, the popcorn chicken was very dry and flavorless, the Mac and cheese bites also had no flavor or any type of seasoning and the mozzarella sticks seems to have been made with crescent dough and old cheese. They have a huge selection of drinks, which just keeps getting larger and more diverse—especially after the addition of two new deep fridges!
The community here is incredibly welcoming and always ready with helpful advice on what to do and see in the city. The owner, JR, is friendly and accommodating, always engaging with customers and seeking their input on what to add next. For me, it is this kind of dedication and community spirit that makes The Starting Lineup standout.
I couldn't ask for a better place to unwind and enjoy a drink. Excited to see...

An enormous beer list that could make a bar ten times the size feel inadequate … tv screens with a couple of different channels showing and one on a quiz app.
JR is the owner, very affable and to be commended for setting up a great bar in a little side street … I found it on a google search and I hope many others do too.
