I just moved to the neighborhood and wanted to try a local spot for a good Chinese takeout. I was so hungry after work last night and I didn't feel like cooking, so I gave it a shot. Sunny didn't disappoint!
I ordered a side of crab Rangoon, a small chicken lo mein, and the General Tso's combination platter (which came with fried rice and an egg roll). Everything was reasonably priced and tasted delicious. The rangoons were crispy, a little sweet and savory, piping hot, and six came in an order, which was perfect. The lo mein was deliciously savory; it was hard to not eat the whole portion. Finally, the chicken in the General Tsos' combo was crispy, sweet, and spicy; the fried rice was amazing, and the egg roll was really good. Also, I also only spent about $20, and there was enough food for two meals.
I will definitely be going back to Sunny to try other things and I'm so happy that there's a great spot near me. Oh, also, the woman who was working the counter was very friendly and she welcomed me to the neighborhood with a big...

Everyone please take notice although the food is great the kids that work in there are simply adorable and professional yet the Mother/Owner treats them extremely rude and nasty. She makes them work long hours not giving them time to be kids and have fun yet she's constantly making them work everyday. The oldest daughter was conversing with me and as soon as I left the Mother hit her and made her work some more. I truly believe there's more abuse behind the scenes that what we see when customers walk in. The Mother will smile in your face but is mean and nasty to her children. Just be aware of the...

I wasted $13 for her platter. I had the sweet and sour chicken and the sauce (on the side) was cold, straight from the refrigerator. I also ordered the 5 piece jumbo fried strip. I'm from Detroit and the way the Chinese restaurants prepare jumbo fried shrimp it's like a jumbo ring, batter dipped and delicious. Sunny's was simply a breaded fried shrimp, possibly from a bag of frozen breaded shrimp. Not impressive for $6. Also, they...
