I recently attended the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) convention at The Baltimore Convention Center, and I must say it was an impressive experience. The convention center itself is quite spacious, with well-designed rooms that are perfect for lectures and sermons. As ICNA is focused on providing a platform for Muslims and those interested in learning about Islam, the center was accommodating to the needs of the attendees.

One of the standout features of The Baltimore Convention Center is its massive cafeteria. It was a bustling hub of activity with various food stalls offering a wide range of culinary options. Whether you were looking for a quick bite or a full meal, the options were plentiful. Additionally, there was ample space for prayer (salah), ensuring that attendees had a dedicated area for their religious practices.

The organization and cleanliness of the bathrooms were noteworthy. The facility management seemed to have taken care in ensuring that the bathrooms were well-maintained and organized, which is always appreciated, especially during large events.

Beyond the event spaces, The Baltimore Convention Center offers numerous areas for relaxation, interaction, dining, and socializing. There are plenty of seating arrangements where attendees can comfortably engage in conversations or simply unwind between sessions. Furthermore, the convention center's convenient location is complemented by the presence of food carts outside, allowing attendees to explore a variety of culinary delights without venturing too far.

Another advantage of The Baltimore Convention Center is the abundance of hotels in the vicinity. With hundreds of options within walking distance, it makes attending the convention a convenient and hassle-free experience. The proximity of these hotels adds to the overall appeal of the convention center.

Having attended ICNA at The Baltimore Convention Center for three years now, I can confidently say that it has consistently delivered a wonderful experience. The convention has even witnessed a profound impact on individuals, with three people converting to Islam during each of the past three conventions. Renowned scholars such as Yasir Qadhi and Omar Suleiman have graced the event with their enlightening lectures, enriching the knowledge of the attendees. Moreover, the presence of notable figures like Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam, who visited and delivered speeches, added an extra element of excitement and inspiration to the convention.

In conclusion, The Baltimore Convention Center is a fantastic venue for the ICNA convention. Its expansive layout, excellent facilities, and thoughtful arrangements cater to the needs of a diverse audience. The convention center, coupled with the nearby hotels and vibrant food scene, creates a conducive environment for learning, networking, and spiritual growth. Whether you are attending ICNA or any other event at this venue, you can expect a memorable and...

The staff I encountered were just wonderful, kind and very helpful, so they deserve 5 stars from the housekeeping to the security guards I encountered I give them 10 out of 10. It's very spacious, appropriate venue to have as many people that attended the event. Cons: No air conditioning in the conference rooms, which should be a violation of some sort based on the capacity and the amount of people there. Not enough POLICE presence for as many people as there were in the area. Police presence is a huge part in deterring potential threats from bad people. Which brings me to another Con worth mentioning on this point is the lack of security in relation to checking people's bags for safety and the lack of metal detection at the entrances. At Madison Square Garden in Manhattan NYC (which is an extremely busy place dealing with a lot of people), there is very good security where you do go through metal detection, and they check your bags. Listen I know it's impossible to prevent something bad from happening, however the people who run this place has to invest in the amount of security needed to perform the screenings which won't take that long just to promote overall safety for each and everyone, including the staff members that work there daily.

Other than the above mentioned, I liked the venue and I do hope that these things can be addressed so that more organizations in the future will feel safe and continue to use this convention center because its massive, nice and its in Baltimore which is an absolutely beautiful city, which I was thrilled to visit and I hope to visit this city again...

The Baltimore Convention Center is a wonderful facility located in the heart of downtown along ample and major bus routes and nearby subway and light rail lines. Buses travel nearby along Pratt Street and Charles Street. Traffic on Charles Street travels one way north while traffic on Pratt Street travels one way east. There are numerous hotels nearby.

Parking: The Sheraton Hotel on South Charles Street lies just adjacent to the rear-side of the convention center and offers public parking. The public parking driveway/ramp is on South Charles Street in the rear of the convention center between the hotel and the center. Parking is expensive $20+. You can save on parking cost by parking outside of the immediate downtown area and taking one of the less expensive modes of transportation (eg. bus $2.00 or free circulators) — and walking (1-5 blocks) to the center. The convention center is in range of on-street parking, but beware of the parking restrictions. Be careful of parking restrictions in surrounding residential parking areas also.

There is a security guard’s booth and ample public parking signage along Charles Street.

Entrances to the Convention Center are on Pratt and Charles Street. There is a dedicated drop-off driveway directly in front of the Pratt Street entrance.

The facility is humongously friendly. Have fun.

Suggestion: In the interior of the building, there should be a dedicated and guarded lane on the perimeter for transporting disabled from one end of the huge facility to the other....

I absolutely adored the space because this is where I 1st came to a comic convention. It has now been a decade and the program gets better every year! Anyone creative is going to be here. It doesn't matter if you are a die hard fan of animation or not, you can find someone or something to inspire you. It is extremely spacious inside, Rest areas, Restrooms on every floor, escalators and elevators. Real talk, it doesn't always work the elevators and escalators, so be prepared to walk. There are food stations that are pricey for the amount and quality your receiving but hey, everyone is trying to make that money in the heart of Baltimore. Understand that the city is ALWAYS going to be expensive. Come with a $20 and you'll survive. Staff is extremely accommodating and friendly. Security is pretty tight, so please don't come to cause trouble, you will be removed. Other than that come with a positive attitude and you will have a great time expanding your horizons and meeting creative artists and artisans. Look for us: Art of the Black Lotus LLC
