Located pretty close to Camden Yards, this is a real must-see for anyone interested in baseball. The birthplace of Babe Ruth is commemorated with a museum and historic rooms showing the parlor and bedroom where he was born. It's probably worth checking when games are on as it is quite small and both times I've been has been pretty empty however I don't know how well it would deal with a lot of guests as some of the rooms are quite small. I'm not a huge baseball fan but I like the museum. There are different sections on his home life and career alongside videos and memorabilia (baseball cards too!) and it's really interesting to read and see just how much impact he had and still does today. There's a small gift shop and restrooms too- the entrance is up a few small steps and looks like a house door but I think there's another entrance for guests with mobility issues as well. I have trouble with the door (the entry door does have a little baseball on it so if it doesn't, that's the wrong one!) but if you too can't open the door, for the love of God don't use the doorbell- struggle on or knock! I would say, on both my visits I did find the staff a little brusque, which some could interpret as rude. Listening to other interactions, I think if you're a real baseball fan and can wow them with a good bit of knowledge you might...

I had the incredible opportunity today to visit the Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. Despite only having a basic knowledge of the game, I found the visit to be an absolute treat. As I was in the Baltimore area, I decided to explore the museum, and I'm so glad that I did.
I was amazed by the tremendous amount of fascinating information about Babe Ruth that I learned during my visit. The museum was not only educational but also very quaint, which added to the charm of the entire experience. The staff was truly amazing – they were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly from the moment we walked in until the time we left. They were eager to assist with everything, from providing an insightful tour to helping with merchandise.
If you're visiting the Baltimore area or even if you live here, I highly recommend making a stop at the Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum. The experience is definitely affordable, and it's a must-visit spot for anyone interested in baseball history and the legendary Babe Ruth. My visit left me with a newfound appreciation for the game and its...
Read moreEmployee wasn’t very friendly. Nice informative museum! Lots of free street parking nearby. They are on Groupon for discounted admission.
We visited this museum on a Saturday around 3pm. The street parking at the nearby W Pratt St was free and only had very few cars parked there. The male employee we encountered at the ticket counter in the gift shop wasn’t very friendly (that is the only reason why I didn’t give 5*).
This museum isn’t big, but it’s very informative. There are a lot of artifacts on display and a few rooms in the house were preserved to show the original setup. They also have a small theater on the main floor. It has a short film on replay with video clips from different years of World Series Games (just the singing of the national anthem).
The main entrance of the museum isn’t wheelchair accessible, but they have a side entrance which is wheelchair accessible and an elevator nearby this side entrance. There is also a small gift shop by the main entrance. We enjoyed the visit to this museum and learning more history about Babe Ruth and MLB. I would recommend this place to any baseball fan...
