Dropped by Werner’s on Monday AM to order & pick up: 1) an egg & cheese breakfast sandwich $3.85, 2) home fries $2.35 (red grilled potatoes and onions), and 3) The Tasty $9.99 (lunch sub) Russi (who’s always pleasant and efficient) rang up my $17ish total. 1) No qualms with the breakfast sandwich. 2) Chunks of red potatoes were lightly seasoned and tasted as they should, BUT for the record, there was an odd - almost an ammonia smell (which I ignored and still lived to write this as a precautionary measure.) 3) The turkey on “The Tasty” was definitely fresh and sliced off the bird, paired with some Swiss, and the huge bacon slice. (See pic) Considering the size of the sub roll, there was barely avocado or ranch dressing on the sub. I would’ve ordered something else had I known because without the mayonnaise I added, it was too dry of a sub. The massive pickle slice and plain UTZ chips served their purpose. I still LOVE THIS PLACE and will continue to order their food... FURTHERMORE, I emphatically RECOMMEND Werner’s unbelievable steamed shrimp!!! NOW, it’s a happy hour special. I kind of wish it was a menu item for lunch although. Thanks to the owner (a couple weeks back), I was able to order some (HUGE) steamed shrimp (and fries). WHAT AN ABSOLUTE TREAT IT WAS! Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and the BEST steamed shrimp I have ever had. (see pic) Thanks again to the owner for allowing me this as a lunch opportunity.

All I can say is PLEASE MAKE THEM WASH THEIR HANDS! First of all the servers don't wash their hands and dig in their ears, bite their nails and wipe their nose without washing their hands. They eating personal food and then returning to kitchen without washing hands. I'm sure that most places skip steps but to be in an area to watch made me almost throw up! I immediately stopped eating the food. I had a microwave steak and my friend a microwave burger for $21!!! The potatoes and bacon are precooked and sitting without a cover! Like cover it... i watched her wipe her nose and then fix the fries on a customers plate! Mind you the customer washed his hands before eating the food, so he definitely didn't want food someone just wiped their nose. Second server dug in her ear and grabbed a plate still chewing her lunch she kept going back to eat. As you see in the picture cook doesn't wear gloves and doesn't mind fixing your food on the plate. . NOW IM WRITING THIS IN THE RESTAURANT AND THIS CHICK SNEEZED AND COUGHED IN HER HAND (SERVER) then went straight to kitchen after lunch to start serving! I wish I didn't see it.. I never write reviews but baby! You risk snot, ear juice, hair and spit from nail biting! Just wash y'all hands! We all do this but at a restaurant is beyond me!

This restaurant appears to be a hidden gem in downtown Baltimore. It had a promising start with live music as its main attraction. I decided to order a garden salad with shrimp, making sure they were not breaded. When my food arrived, I was impressed by the beautiful presentation of the salad with a skewer of shrimp on top. However, I immediately noticed an unpleasant odor, reminiscent of chlorine and crab. The texture of the shrimp was incredibly tough, and it had white spots all over it. Reluctantly, I removed the shrimp and tried to enjoy the salad, but the smell of the shrimp lingered and ruined the entire meal. Although I dislike sending food back, I felt compelled to mention the issue to the waiter. Surprisingly, the waiter seemed absent until closing time when they finally appeared. I explained the situation and requested that the extra charge for the uneaten shrimp be removed. The waiter offered a mere $2 discount for the uneaten salad. This experience has led me to question the overall quality and cleanliness of this particular Baltimore restaurant. If you choose to dine here, I advise exercising caution when it comes to the food, focusing instead on the bar and the live music.

We typically frequent this restaurant during the week. We came on a Sunday, the place was busier than normal. It took 10 minutes to get water and 25 minutes to get just one of the drinks we ordered. The Long Island was terrible and I didn’t finish it, the second drink never came. We placed our order for a chicken cheesesteak with fries and a two egg platter with sausage and a side of bacon. We waited 45 minutes for the food. The chicken cheesesteak was missing toppings asked for and had the smallest amount of chicken possible, we’ve ordered it before and this was inconsistent with previous entries and came with a very small portion of fries that cost an additional $2.49. The side of bacon didn’t come out. At this point, we were frustrated. We asked that the cheesesteak and bacon be removed from the bill, the card was charged and they did not remove the items we asked to be removed. I had to CHASE down the server to inquire about the discrepancy. The Manager was there and I heard him tell the server that they are f&$#ing up and then said to get away from him while she tried to rectify the bill. The Manager, ended up giving me $15 and said this should cover it because it was $12 worth of food but with taxes and food cost, the total was $18. That not withstanding, I will try the establishment again and make the determination if I’ll ever patronize this...

I seldom opt to post bad reviews, but this is needed for others visiting B’more and looking for a meal. I found this restaurant after seeing them post about bottomless mimosas, mai tais, and lemon drops on Instagram.

My sister and I visited on a Saturday and ordered lemon pepper wings, miso glazed wings, and separate orders of the crab egg rolls. My sister also tried the bottomless lemon drops (since Mai tais were no longer a part of their offering) while I had an old fashioned.

The Good: the waiter was really nice and the drinks were good. The Bad: The chicken wings tasted as if they were fried in the same grease for fish. My sister tried to eat her lemon pepper wings but they just were disgusting. Add to that, the crab egg rolls with the sweet and sour dipping sauce were horrific. The Very Bad: when we asked if the lemon pepper wings be removed from the tab, we were informed by our waiter that their policy is not to remove anything off the bill regardless of the fact that the quality is terrible. (We didn’t attempt to remove the crab egg rolls because we knew it was a gamble to try them and felt adventurous). As a customer, the quality of food should be assured and if a restaurant has the gall to have such a policy that means that they know their food is...
