I'm going to give these guys a solid endorsement here, this very well might be my pick for best deal in the town at the moment. I've always ignored their tasting room in the past in preference of the brewery but I like that you can get some food and some beers here and not break the bank. You have a few seating choices in a fairly open floorplan. As far as the beer, they had their regular brews from the brewery and I was told they will be having some one-offs and such brewed at the tasting room (about time you went back to some one-offs). Either way you get fresh/local brewed beer. The menu is extremely limited which makes choosing simpler. We got burgers and fries both times, no complaints at all, cooked as requested, good flavors. I imagine this place will be a madhouse at peak season. Some of the staff there appeared less experienced with working in a brewpub type atmosphere and could use some guidance in being customer oriented, keeping the drinks flowing, glasses filled, know your beer, etc. Anyhow, the good of this place far outweighs a few fixable issues. I've been a few times and will be back more. ...

When we arrived we waited a little bit while servers and the hostess were doing things. Once seated we were greeted by a waiter. He asked to take our order, though we weren't ready yet.

He came back a few minutes later. I felt a little rushed as I was trying to read their menu and make a decision on what to eat. We ordered truffle fries, a Ruben with a side salad, and a haddock sandwich. I wasn't offered a dressing with my salad, which was odd. The ruben was okay, the truffle fries were way greasy - way better truffle fries at Paddy's down the street. The haddock sandwich was okay, didn't taste any citrus with the tartar sauce. We also order blueberry Ale- we've had it at 4 different places and it was a lot stronger at a different bar.

We also had a flight. The first one (Real Ale) on the list didn't taste like much, the 2nd one (Blueberry Ale) was good, 3rd one (Caddillac Mountain Stout) - I don't like stouts so it was gross, but my husband liked it., 4th one (Mountain Hopper Ipa) tasted similar to other IPA's, and the last one (Summer Ale) tasted like...

What a dud. We had such high expectations for this place after seeing it being built two years ago and were looking forward to finally coming this year, and it was nothing but disappointing. This should be a home run for Atlantic Brewing - a restaurant in the middle of the tourist district of their hometown? How could you screw this up? They managed. First off - you can't get any standard Atlantic Brewing beer here. It's all micro-brew small -batch stuff, which is just OK, but we came here for their main line stuff and I don't understand why they wouldn't offer it here. The food was mediocre at best - the burgers looked and tasted like something I could make on the grill at home with minimal effort. Service was pretty bad - hard to get the waitress's attention, we never had any silverware, & my wife had to go get some ketchup and napkins from another table herself. Atmosphere was also pretty dull. This could have been so much better in every way with very little effort on...

This is a total tourist town and this area is a very touristy spot but Atlantic Brewing was a great stop. I went with my 7 year old daughter and they had a great kids menu but she opted for the large pretzel which she loved! I got the lobster roll and it was incredibly delicious and fresh with lots of lobster. The waiter we had was incredibly friendly and helpful. The place was busy but we were served in good timing. The place was very clean and they don’t overcrowd the seating so it doesn’t feel too crowded. I got a blueberry beer which was a perfect companion to the lobster roll. My sister and dad went to the Thirsty Whale and were very disappointed… I highly recommend eating at Atlantic Brewery!

During a rainy day in Bar Harbor, we sought refuge at Atlantic Brewing Midtown. The taproom had a pleasant ambiance, albeit with a minimalist touch that gave it a somewhat stark feel. The bartender seemed bored but so were we but they were pleasant enough. Brown Ale on tap was decent. The Blueberry Ale, while not mind-blowing, did the job. Food menu looked ok, but we stuck with just having a beer so I cannot comment on the quality of their food offerings. The stark ambiance may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it’s a clean look and kind of the standard look for the modern taproom. If you're in Bar Harbor looking for a bare bones spot to snag some suds, Atlantic Brewing is worth a visit.
