The Cafe was so hot sweat beads were on faces and the staff was complaining of how hot it was. When the food was ready we opted to take it outside, even though it was in the 90s! Burger was oily all over the bun and the homemade veggie burger patty was like eating mash potatoes on a bun( soggy sticking to the top of the bun so gross not edible) w 3 slivers of soggy lettuce with the texture of cooked spinach on the bottom. as you can see in photos. Brought to attention of the 3 girls at counter and was told that's the way we make it .we are not responsible if you dont like it...So it went straight to the trash can.( after photos)..I believe the patty was under cooked and they should have offered to remake or replaced with something edible..Bonus f u was ...When ordering I asked for lettuce and pickles only on my burger and when taking the image for this review I noticed they charged me $2 extra for that, and labeled it as a side salad...I wasnt interested in giving this company another dime by ordering another entree from them after they were not interested in making the first encounter right! Luckily the prepackaged chips and lemonade where excellent and much needed until I could get to another place to get food! I will skip this cafe in the future.

I was looking for dinner on a busy Saturday evening in October. Most of the restaurants on the main road looked packed and had long waits. This place is tucked away on a side road, and still had a little crowd, but I walked right in and got a table around 5:45pm; it was full by the time I left though. They had a decent menu with some local seafood options. I went with the spicy dijon mussels and root vegetable salad (no entree), and I was very happy with both. Both had good portions. The salad was refreshing and not boring at all. The mussels were swimming in some delicious juices (and came with plenty good bread to soak it up), and they were defintely fresher than the mussels I'm accustomed to getting in the midwest. They have a bar and good variety on the drink menu if that interests you. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I got pretty good service.. no complaints! I'd be happy to come back!

The food tasted good - we got the tofu banh mi and the noodles with tofu. But it was way, way too expensive for the quantity of food. We couldn’t believe that (see photo) was the amount of noodles given for a $24 dish, and it was weird that we were given potato chips with a $16 banh mi - for that price it should at least be a little nicer, like sweet potato fries or salad (they upcharge $3 for those options). Also, it was extremely hot inside the cafe (& they ran out of outdoor seating - the bocce court takes up a ton of space outside), and the server literally had beads of sweat running down his face, we felt bad for him.

FOODIE HAVEN~ A++ Blew my mind away! Kelsey? you were a PHENOMENAL server OMG give him a raise folks, really just excellent customer service, super nice, interactive, humorous the whole shabang! The food was BANGIN! You boys in the kitchen are just GODS! There is no other words. The food was Heavenly! And I am not easily impressed at all- But Kelsey brought IT and the delectable tasty goodness was OWNED by the humble dudes in the kitchen. We had these ricotta bites for an app that I won't even Bother to describe but say GET THEM. You will thank me and after a couple KILLER Margaritas? You may just kiss the cook! But Not yet wait! It gets better... I had the Falafel burger with their homemade hummus and pickles with red onion which was Incredible! Omg so good. My friend had the shrimp Po'Boy and was blown away with deliciousness. My daughter had a hearty turkey melt with a spicy twist and she just gobbled it up! (pun intended : P ) You ALL made our night a fantastic success~ Thank you...

As a frequent visitor to the island this is another place that I have to stop at at least once while visiting. Atmosphere is maybe a little dark and dingy, seating limited, but I'm not here for the atmosphere. This is also another place that focuses on food instead of just lobster or seafood. The mussels have always been a delicious appetizer. We had a great salad last time, think it was called Friend of the Pod. I always order the Bang Bang sandwich, served with honey and hot sauce on the side. This last time I decided to go for the Shrimp Po Boy after asking the waiter, who said it was an almost equal to the Bang Bang. He was wrong- will just stick to Bang Bang, po boy was pretty salty and lacked the mix of flavors that the Bang Bang delivers. Drink selection is pretty good as far as draft beers or mixed drinks. One year they had a really good lemonade- want to say they used lavender or something in it, have not seen it again on the menu and would...
