I came here a couple times while visiting Bar Harbor. I'm a plain latte guy, and there's was 6.5/10 quality for me. I think they focus more on the speciality drinks, and have a very good-looking menu for those. The precipice latte (white mocha with blueberry) I had was a little on the sweet side, but the espresso and flavors still came through strongly, so I liked it quite a bit. The bakery looks amazing.. cookies, pies, donuts, scones, etc. Of course I had to give the blueberry pie a try when in Maine. It was solid; it had a very tasty, buttery, and rich crust, and the filling was pretty decent and abundant. The place also doubles as a carryout restaurant that serves lobster rolls, bfast sandwiches, and crepes. There's no sitting space. Overall, I was pleased with this place and I'd recommend it to anybody visiting Bar Harbor. I think they open earlier than most other coffee shops in town, so it's a treat to my fellow...
Read moreSo happy we came here! We’ve been coming to Bar Harbor for several years and was surprised to ‘find’ this place. We actually feel a little dumb for not having been here before but that’s on us, not them. Highly recommend the cappuccinos and breakfast sandwiches. There is a place in our hometown we go to for breakfast sandwiches that we rate 10/10 but after we had this one we might have to change that grading…! These were absolutely delicious and light. Also, the gift shop is so cute and unique. I got a hoodie there that I didn’t see in any other store (in a tourist town like this you tend to see the same thing over and over). Lastly, the woman at the counter was over the top nice. We wish we had gotten her name as she definitely deserves a call out. Younger with darker, shoulder length hair. You know who you are! We came back twice today because of you and cannot wait to be...
Read moreIf you're ever in Bar Harbor, you HAVE TO go to Coffee Hound coffee shop. The owners, Chris and his wife, are SO nice and knew exactly where we had traveled from!
Their espresso is amazing. Get the americano (or whatever your preference) but we can vouch for their greatness. ☕
Their bagels are baked by some Jewish guys in Brooklyn and are really good - if Chris is there, ask him to toast it with butter on the grittle. It makes ALL the difference.
Their crepes are THE BEST we've ever tasted. Ever. We had the one with Maine blueberries and it literally melts in your mouth. 😍
*All of their cups, lids, and straws are NOT PLASTIC but corn material. And the knives for cream cheese are wood. 🌱
You feel super not guilty about taking not-plastic to-go cups filled with amazingly delicious coffee + the best baked goods ever. The best...
