Today on Christmas the day of Jesus birthday, I ordered a pizza from San Diego Ca to my best friend's house in Barstow Ca. They are having a horribly hard time financially with no food in the house until the end of the month. I ordered a pizza for my friend her name is Pearl. Her daughter is sick right now with cancer and she has an oxygen tank on her 24/7 her favorite food is Dominoes pizza well it was until today. You see all my life I grew up on Papa Johns, Dominoes and pizza hut and The Godfathers pizza!
Today's experience truly was EYE opening and very sad for me as well as embarrassing for me. I am in San Diego Ca she is located in Barstow now I ordered a pizza online for them using my DEBIT card because I can not do anything from were I am located at. I ordered a simple two pizza's and had it delivered to them I also put it in the instructions. I Have done this over the past 20 years may I remind you, I have ordered for family members many times and had it sent to their address NEVER have I had an issue until today.
The delivery driver came to the her house with me on the telephone and they said they needed to see a drivers license and the credit card that purchased the food. They stated their best friend ordered the pizza for them as a gift to help out for Christmas to have something in there bellies..I have all the debit card Information. The delivery driver "Tracy" was extremely rude to my friend stating "No Credit card and ID no pizza, You guys will need to call the company!"
I understand rules and regulations however remind you I did call ahead of time and asked them if I could order a pizza from San Diego to Barstow they said YES. I have done this multiple times prior with out issue, They refused to give the pizzas to my best friend. So I am a Christian and I believe in forgiveness however when it comes to CORPORATE GREED such as this? On CHRISTMAS DAY The birth of Christ and to decline your neighbor food coming from such a "Big Chain" sickens me to my stomach that a world we live in could be so cold and sick.
Moving forward I forgive them but I can promise you this has left such a sick sour taste in my mouth in regards to ALL DOMINOES Stores now, Simply due to ONE bad apple I promise you I will NEVER EAT NOR PURCHASE FOOD from their store again, nor will I eat their pizza at any party or friends house. I will make sure all of my family and loved ones and friends STAY AWAY from Dominoes and I pray forgiveness on their evil corporate greedy hearts. For any person that can NOT actually leave pizzas due to there circumstances due to their policy at Dominoes? If this is a POLICY when ordering a pizza I need to see the written print that Indicates you can NOT order pizza for family or friends without having the card present. NEVER in my life have I shown my card so I called the office in Barstow and explained the situation she was extremely rude and straight to the point obviously she is NOT happy working her job at Dominoes and maybe upset because she had to work on Christmas, Or maybe if she would have gotten a REAL Career instead of working as a pizza maker/cashier for some company that is so greedy to bring the pizzas back after I purchased them with my hard earned money and to decline a family in need due to a policy that nobody does except for these people on this night? Read moreI decided to try dominos in Barstow Ca. and was so disappointed. My biggest complaint was I paid for extra cheese and didn’t receive it. I like my pizza to have some type of cheese gooey ness to it but this pizza was so dry it barely had any cheese. I called to make a complaint just thinking they would at least offer to remake the pizzas but nope nothing but rude and unprofessional people. David one of the employees gets on the phone tells me who he is and he delivered the pizza and made it and he knows what he’s doing. Well obviously he doesn’t and this boy had no customer services so I ask to speak to the manger he puts me on “hold” then I hear the manger Jose telling David what to tell me. Long story short Jose finally gets on the phone and offers to remake the pizza but at that point I’m over it and I’m already putting in a order with Route 66 pizza. I was willing to pay for the other half of my order but they wanted to double charge me so I ended up returning the whole order. Then they send another boy to pick up the food and he tries to tell me I have to pay for the wings because I ate more then half which I didn’t but at this point im over dominos and they won’t get a penny out of me they never have to worry about get my service ever again. Read moreI have never been so disrespected and embarrassed anywhere in my life. I ordered a Med. Pan pizza on Jan. 30, 2024. The pizza was burnt very badly. I submitted a complaint to the corporate office via the Domino's app that same day regarding the issue. I received an email from the corporate customer service apologizing and advising me to keep the receipt so as to speak with the manager at this location the next time I was able to visit the store. I was to show the receipt and explain that customer service approved my request for a replacement pizza.
Fast forward 4 days later... upon my return visit for a new order, I brought my receipt as advised. I asked the young lady working the register to please ask the manager on duty if I can speak to him/her. From the moment the manager, Jorge, approached the front counter, he had an unfriendly attitude. I explained to him what the corporate office advised me to do. Immediately, I was met with 20 questions and even more rudeness and lies regarding company policies. All of a sudden, Jorge (manager) started yelling and stating that I wasn't going to tell him what to do. Slamming his hand on the counter accusing me of doing that to him. I attempted to calm him down, but he continued to yell in front of his staff and other customers. I am completely embarrassed. He has no right to yell or be rude to me.
