Koko's Mexican Snacks — Restaurant in Bastrop

The atmosphere advertisement is cute, but in reality the customer service from the young lady who took my order on April 20 2025 between 7:15 and 7: 30 pm was unfriendly. She seemed annoyed and although I don't look like I'd speak or understand Spanish I understood what she was talking, she was talking trash about someone and seemed annoyed. I asked about a flavor ice cream and she told me the flavor but gave short and fast answers. I still wouldn't know what flavor she said it was, so asked for a little more detail in what was in the ice cream. She stated short and fast strawberry, bread and chocolate, and quickly asked if I wanted anything else as if she was rushing me along. Their were two customers in the store and you'd think that they would have a little time to sweep up under the tables, but she seemed too annoyed to do so and was speaking to the other young lady helping preparing the snacks. Over all poor customer service. And I would also like to mention that thus was my first time visiting... Never again and I wouldn't recommend anyone to...

I wanted to give this place a chance because the owners are from the same city I am from, however if you value your time and money, do not eat here. There are definitely better places to get Mexican snacks. It should not take you 30 minutes to give me hot Cheetos with cheese! I understand it takes time, but 30 minutes? After paying almost $10 dollars for it and I end up getting saggy chips. The girl working here was very rude and did not even say thank you, she gave me an attitude after I asked i told her it was taking too long. Never coming back here ever. I wouldn’t recommend it, try “las mangonadas” instead, it’s slow too but at least ur not getting melted ice cream and saggy chips. I would give it 0...

I stopped by Paleteria Kokos and I’m so glad I did! The place is super cute, clean, and has a really welcoming vibe. They have such a great variety of treats from fresh fruit cups to delicious paletas, mangonadas, and ice cream. Everything tastes super fresh and authentic.

The staff is really friendly and had great service they have many good options to choose from ! I tried the mangonada and a strawberries & cream cup, and both were AMAZING. You can really tell they put love into what they serve.

Perfect spot for family or just if you’re craving something sweet. Definitely my new goto in Bastrop for something sweet and refreshing. Highly recommend...
