First time trying Papa Murphy’s but had heard good things about those in the state we live. Was looking forward to it. Ordered ahead online & prepaid. Went there and then in to pick it up on my way to next errand. Figured it would be all ready to roll and I’d be onto my next (last) stop. There was no else there. Gave my name. Girl working grabbed my ticket that was laying on the counter and said ‘Oh they hadn’t made it yet’. She went to the back and another employee came out. He made the pizza then. They all seemed very worried about cleaning up the back. Another customer came in while I was waiting. She had to wait for someone else to come help her. She was picking up order there also. 3 people working; none seems to worried about helping customers. He finished our pizza and handed it off to me. Was made well but the wrap looked like it was thrown on and not covering all of the edges well (I didn’t discover until I went to put in our vehicle). Pizza tasted good once we baked. Original crust as thicker than I expected. Top was dark before crust baked all of the way thru even though I followed directions. Would get thin crust next time. Not sure it was any better than other chain pizza where you don’t have to bother with cooking it. Disappointed for sure because...
Read moreI have to admit, I was very reluctant to come here. I could never understand why you'd want to get pizza you had to cook yourself - the concept was lost on me. But yesterday we had a situation where we wanted pizza for dinner but were out in town in the afternoon and tadaaaaa, we needed a take and bake pizza. From start to finish, our first experience w/ the Bastrop Papa Murphy's was perfect!! Got a coupon and used their online ordering w/ ease and NO headaches. The store staff were friendly and helpful. The pizza had clear instructions and it cooked exactly as described and it tasted REALLY GOOD! We got a salad too that was also yummy. Fresh and tasty ingredients - we will be back when another take and bake pizza...
Read moreThis is a strange idea for a restaurant but I guess it's smart..less dishes no extreme oven heat just cold pizza toppings and a cash register. One thing that's awesome about Papa Murphy's, they take EBT which is pretty cool for us low brow folks. Also the stuffed pizza is amazing. So much pizza in one slice. Makes you want to unbutton your pants before you start feasting like a depraved apex predator. The place is affordable and the people are pretty nice. I don't have much to complain about for once. But I'm sure if I thought long enough on it I'd say something like,"why do they close at 8:00?!?" But that's just me being a night owl and not wanting to eat until 11:00pm individual...
