I recently visited this restaurant for the buffet, and there were no visible prices displayed. The atmosphere wasn’t particularly fancy, so I assumed the pricing would be reasonable. However, I was surprised to discover that the buffet cost $25.99—a steep price for what was offered. It was the highest I’ve ever paid for an Indian buffet in Texas or Louisiana and I have been to a lot.
Also, they charge for kids regardless of age, and I was billed $15.99 for my two-year-old.
As if that wasn’t enough, the staff rushed to bring me the bill while I was still eating. When I explained I wasn’t finished, their attitude noticeably changed, which may explain why my $3.99 soda was mostly ice and tasted watered down.
They also added a surcharge for using a card—something I rarely see these days—and an additional 15% service charge, which felt unjustified given the subpar service.
To Indian food lovers: avoid this place unless you’re ready to overspend. I have no problem paying for quality food and good vibes, but this place...
Read morewe ordered from this place again recently because I forgot we had carried out before ….. previous review stands. It was still bad and overpriced. Korma and tikka tasted so similar….. rice pudding was missing the rice.
Wanted to like this place but very underwhelming. We ordered the chicken tikka, goat curry, lamb and veg samosa and rice pudding. The tikka masala lacked flavor, just tasted like butter ( no spices) and was a yellow color which I though was interesting. Not horrible just not up to par with what I have eaten in the past, especially at this 17$ price point. Flavor of the curry was good, however there was barely any meat. Mostly gristle and bone. The meat that was present was hard to bite off. Samosas were fine but a little bland, higher price point for size. Lastly the rice pudding was rice soup, so sad. Not the thickened yumminess that we are used to ending our meal with. Won’t be coming back...

We are a family of five and have visited India’s Restaurant many times in the past for their buffet lunch. Unfortunately, our recent visit was extremely disappointing.
When we went to pay, we noticed a 15% service charge added to our bill—something that was never communicated to us during the meal. When we asked the waitress about it, we were casually told that it's "mentioned on the website." This is a buffet lunch, where we serve ourselves—so what exactly is this service charge for?
On top of that, the staff was unpleasant and unprofessional, which left us frustrated. This kind of treatment and hidden charge policy has really turned us off from visiting again.
There are far better alternatives like Bay Leaf and Swagath, where the food is great and the service is respectful and transparent. Sadly, this may be our last visit to...
