The most ridiculous experience I have EVER had in a coffee shop. Don’t come here unless you have 30+ minutes to spare. I was staying at the hotel and ran downstairs to “grab a quick coffee” while I waited for the restaurant to open. There was no line. I waited at the register for at least five minutes watching the employees putter around before they acknowledged us. We finally were able to order and we were informed that she had just finished the closing duties and we could no longer order anything until they opened for lunch. I explained we just wanted coffee and she allowed us to order and pay. Another fifteen minutes went by without my coffee. Then they beckoned me over to the counter and tried to give me someone else’s order. Still no coffee. At this point I asked for a refund as I had been there for over twenty minutes and the restaurant was opening for lunch. She refused and FINALLY made my order. She didn’t make the cappuccino I ordered correctly either, it was all milk and very little foam. The worst service I’ve ever received in a coffee shop, rude, slow, and disorganized. The employees need to be retrained...

I go to Milfords every other day because I don't work very far away. I paid a total of 11.20 for bacon and a biscuit. Also, I paid $8.36 for grits and pan sausage. which should have been a total of 4 dollars and some change, according to the worker when I called to verify the correct prices of each item. I went back to Milford's to return the food and get a refund because I felt that wasn't right. But when I went there, I spoke to Chris, and he told me that the grits were in fact $5.00 instead of the $2 that I normally paid. He kept going back and forth with me instead of admitting that he was wrong. I have contacted someone who works there, and they told me that I was correct and that Chris was able to type in his own prices with the open food option on their system. I will continue to contact Milford until I am able to speak with...
Read moreWhen I saw Matzo ball soup on the menu, I got excited. A Jewish friend introduced me to this simple, filling bowl of comfort, but there are no Jewish delis around Baton Rouge that I know of. So, on this cold, dreary day, I stopped in and ordered some to go. A short time later, I opened the container and was shocked to see Noodles and tomatoes in a broth. I did eventually find 1 1/2 very small undercooked Matzo balls under the noodles. Now I understand that everyone's Mama cooks things differently, but in my searches for recipes for Matzo ball soup, the balls are large and are not surrounded by anything other than broth. It's called Matzo ball soup for a reason. Will this deter me from trying other items on their menu? No. But I'm afraid this soup is not the bowl of comfort I was...
