Riverfront Grille and Lounge — Restaurant in Bay City

*there was a wedding in the main restaurant while we dined there. That's what I'm chalking up the absolute deplorable service we received to.

We were seated outside and given menus, and waited for 10 minutes for our drink order to be taken. Drinks arrived quickly.

I ordered the roasted brisket. It was very fatty, and chewy. Not good at all. I also had the Smoked Gouda Mac and Cheese. It was bland.

My wife had the shake and bake. Chicken was not good. Very dry. And, well it came with gravy, and was still dry. Her mashed potatoes were good.

We waited after our meal was completed for our check for over 15 minutes. Again, our waitress was working the wedding party, as well as our and other tables. Not her fault, but, still not appropriate.

Only 2 stars, because of low quality food. This is generic banquet food. Made in large batches, and slopped on a plate for premium prices.

If you want quality, go to one of the many other places Bay Cith has to offer.

Dont expect a good meal here.

The service: our server was very sweet, very nice, very attentive! He checked on us and was very positive.

The best part: French onion soup, quiet dining room, crispy Diet Cokes and service.

However… the food is disappointing to say the least. The chicken on my caesar salad reminded me of the precooked “fajita chicken” that you can get at Walmart in the frozen isle - it was oddly chewy and had zero flavor. The caesar dressing was not caesar at all, I asked for ranch instead. My partner got the ribeye steak, also was completely flavorless and had a very questionable texture. Unfortunately, his vegetables came lathered in this flavored butter that he found disgusting, it was on also on a corner of his steak. The bill was about $70, which I can understand is normal for a dinner for two. All I’m saying, it is not worth the money for what we ordered. We did not say anything to the server because ultimately there is nothing they can do about the quality of the food, and they did their job.

I would eat somewhere...

Hotel is perfect. I was in bar section Fri 7/5, not horribly busy. Sat for 1/2 hour no one came over to table. I went to the hostess and asked are you short staffed? No, I'll send someone over, someone came over slammed some menus down, sat another 15 mins, took drink orders, out of cognac for one drink. Finally, get those drinks. Wanted to move to patio, moved to patio. Server there walked past 3 times until I said, Hey are you our server? Finally got some service, but really? I've been going here for years, no problems ever! Businesses please be careful who you hire or make sure a manager is available to watch what's going on. Customer service...
