Have eaten at this new location twice now and won’t be going back!! I understand that when a new restaurant opens it takes time for the staff to feel comfortable and to get the ball rolling, but this Panera needs help!! First experience...very long line to order which is typical for Panera. But only 2 employees taking orders!! Took 35 minutes to get to order!! Management was standing around just watching instead of trying to help with taking orders. Not a very good first impression!! Decided to try again and went back a few days later. Big mistake!! Another very long line and not enough order takers. Finally, ordered a bacon turkey bravo sandwich and French onion soup. Once we ordered and found a table we couldn’t sit down because the seat cushion was covered in what appeared to be some kind of oil!! Asked an employee who was just standing around if he would wipe the cushion. After a 40 minute wait we got our food. I noticed there was no bacon on the sandwich and took it back to the pick up counter and told them. Their response was “oh, we ran out of bacon!!” Manager, standing right next to food preparer doesn’t say a thing!! My response was “shouldn’t you have told me that before you made the sandwich and gave it to me!!” Instead, they gave me a sandwich missing one of the key ingredients, bacon!! I ordered a bacon, turkey bravo not just a turkey sandwich!! I paid full price and was given a sandwich that I’m sure they were hoping I wouldn’t notice was wrong!! If I would have been told they were out of bacon, hey, no big deal, it happens, but don’t be sneaky!! It’s the principle!! I requested a refund and the manager very curtly said “I’ll meet you at the register!!” While she was issuing me the refund I told her they needed some improvements in customer service!! She only snickered in reply!! I have anxiously awaited the opening of this Panera. I eat at Panera several times a month. But, after this experience I will still be driving to there Mo Val or Riverside locations!! Such a shame!! I strongly suggest you...
Read moreI’m only giving the Beaumont California location a one star rating because Panera is usually good generally. I placed my order online. The order said it would be ready at 9:15. I arrived at 9:15. to find out that it was still being prepped. I sat and waited another 8 minutes and watched the two male food prep people standing there, talking and talking and talking. I sat there and watched the orders piling up on the board and watched the male prep individuals doing very little in food prep and alot of talking about their latest adventures in the world. Along with my order, I also ordered a large Dr Pepper. So when my food was finally ready 8 minutes late, I was standing at food counter had to wait again because these two Individuals were so busy in conversation they hadn’t paid attention that the soda was part of the order and wait for them to respond to me and give me a drink cup. I should’ve known better to check my order before I left. But upon arriving home, I found them my order was indeed incorrect. I had customized my asiago breakfast bagel to include white cheddar cheese which I paid $.70 more for instead of the American cheese and it wasn’t on there. It was just a plain old American cheese.. This is the second Saturday in a row I’ve gone to this location and my order has been wrong up upon arriving home. I wish these two prep people would spend as much time and energy on paying attention to detail on the orders that they are preparing as they do talking about their lives. It's very sad because I've gone to this location at different times during the day and the only time I have problems is with the morning crew...
Read moreI'm torn, I like their food but the service at the rapid pickup counter was disappointing! We ordered a bread bowl soup, mac n cheese, a caprese sandwich, and a quinoa broth bowl. The order was "ready" when I got there but I decided to check it in the car. I was missing the baguettes and the bread bowl so I went back inside bag in hand. I stood there with the bag in my hand trying to get someone's attention and nothing, so I stopped one of the staff members walking by and asked for the missing items. He gave me a little bag and I went back to the car and I realized there was no bread bowl, ugh! This was all while carrying my sleeping 2 year old in my arms, so frustrating! I went back in and the rapid counter still looked busy so I decided to wait in the line at the counter. I told her I was missing the bread bowl and she said they were out, why didn't anyone say so? I had already paid for it and no one offered an alternative solution until I waited in line to inquire? I went back to the rapid counter and interrupted them, by this time I wasn't concerned about how busy they were because they had already wasted a good 30 min of my time with the "rapid pick up", I told them the issue and they finally offered to give me extra bread or a sourdough loaf with the middle extracted similar to a bread bowl, which I thought was a creative solution. I get that they were busy, that a place that makes things from scratch will run out of items, but I wish they would have been more attentive and that it didn't take me being vigilant about my order to get it right. I hope it was just an off day because we really like...
