My family went through the drive thru and we got three cherry slushies and a root beer float. The root beer flavor was missing. We drove all the way back after almost getting home and my husband went inside to get it fixed. They made another and it was exactly the same carbonated ice cream. I went in the next time to tell them the syrup must be empty, because it tasted like carbonated water with ice cream and the slightest most minuscule hint of root beer flavor. Some of the staff seemed irritated, even hearing one yell in the back, "What's wrong with it THIS time!". Two employees were apologetic, yet the whole time I felt like I was being a bother because I wanted to get what we paid for. The whole process to get a semi-acceptable root beer float took a little over an hour while my toddlers waited in the car. This was unpleasant, and I was shocked by the lack of professionalism from a place we were really looking forward to having in our town. This is the third time going and each experience progressively got worse when we had high expectations for them only improving. Also, this was the least busy we had seen it of all the times we've gone. The lack of training is evident and you cannot distinguish between the managers and regular employees. It seemed more like we were interrupting a tired teenage hang out than getting proper service. We have always been Sonic fans and we always make it a treat to go to one when we are out of town, and this Sonic is the saddest so far. We hope things improve over time, especially since this...
Read moreWe came here to get everyone a treat after our kids last band concert of the year. We ordered 5 shakes and a slush, the place was NOT busy at all. Half an hour later my brother inquired as to where our order was, and was asked, "oh, they didn't bring it out to you yet?" They told us they would have them brought right out and my brother told them they better not be melted from just sitting there. We were assured they were fine. Another half hour went by and my brother walked inside rather upset to find that they had to remake the entire order, since they had let them all melt. He had to go back in because they forgot the slush. After all that, none of our shakes were labeled, and they all tasted like they had just mixed every flavor up or not cleaned the shake mixer in between. One was supposed to be peanut butter, several smelled and tasted if peanut butter. Same with the oreo crumbles, the banana, and the strawberry. Honestly at this point I'm pretty upset that these people are getting 20 bucks an hour to screw up SHAKES. My teenage daughters could have done a better job, this guy was in his 30s or 40s trying to make excuses why he can't do his job in an efficient manner, when it wasn't busy, at all. Whoever owns this establishment needs to come down and supervise for a full day, maybe a few days, and make staff changes accordingly. Maybe they just need extensive training. This whole experience made me never want to go to ANY...
Read moreWent through drive thru around 12 AM. We were the only car in the drive thru at that point. Took aver 15 min to get our order after paying and getting our drinks. While we waited we saw one of the employees eating and drinking at the counter where the drink and blast orders were sitting that were made for the cars behind us. One of our shakes was also there and no one gave it to us while we waited for the food so it sat there melting. The employee pulled down her mask to eat and drink and was literally leaning over the items on the counter while she did it. I'm sure this is a health code violation and violates Covid rules. I said something to the other staff member when he opened the window to give us our food. He said he would talk to her. He told me she was clocked out. I told him how disgusting her actions were. We pulled off to the side to check our food and we saw that they immediately handed items to the next car so they obviously didn't remake anything. I feel really bad for whoever was in the cars behind us. Drinks have lids but Sonic blasts have those open lids on top so those had whatever germs and bacteria that was spewed by the staff member eating and chewing food and laughing while she looked at her phone, right over the top of everything sitting waiting for the customers. We counted at least 3 drinks and 2 or 3 blasts that were there in front of her. We will be calling their...
