If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I just went through the drive through line and ordered a meal, I used apple pay with someone who was standing outside and it slipped my mind that my debit card was locked so as I got to the drive through window I was reaching my phone out the window so that they could scan it ( as I’ve done PLENTY of times, I use apple pay 90% of the time and at anytime I go to canes I use it at the drive through, I’ve never had a problem) the lady who was at the window was extremely rude and stated “I can’t touch your phone, my court doesn’t allow me to touch your phone” so I asked “are you saying you can’t scan my phone for apple pay?” she got so upset, and went to get another worker, Im not sure if she was a manger or just another worker, but she stated that I could back up the the drive through line because they were clear. I asked if the worked that was already outside could come and retake my payment and she she no, you will have to back up, so I backed up and a car was behind me so I decided to just pull around and go inside, when I went in I felt humiliated, and I was on the phone with my mom expressing to her that I felt like the whole situation was entirely wrong. I am very upset about this experience, I feel like race was a huge factor, because like I said, I’ve never had this problem and no one was calm from the time that it happened. everyone wS hostile and just seemed like they wanted me to go away. 0 starts for customer service!!! I will NEVER come to this...
Read moreI don't know what genius designed the drive-through and parking lot for this location, but they need to be fired. The drive-through doesn't loop around the building at all, so as soon as there's more than one car at the order speaker, the line is out into the parking lot, and, two cars later, into the street, blocking the exit and the entrance/exit to next door's Panera. They have two drive-through lanes, but only ever use one, worsening the issue. And now, I'm guessing they're having staffing issues because they've gone drive-through only, so customers previously using curbside or indoor pickup are now forced through the drive-through, further exacerbating the issue. They've already had to put up some cones to modify the traffic pattern from the original design, so it was clearly constructed poorly from the beginning. They need more signs, more cones, more entrance/exit lanes (or block the Panera side), use the right-side drive-through lane instead of the left, just SOMETHING. ANYTHING. If your drive-through REGULARLY extends into the STREET, IT IS...
Read moreI have to remove 4 stars for my latest experience at Cane's in Beavercreek.
Last week I drove up, parked in a ♿ space and wrangled my wheel chair out of the minivan.
When I rolled up to the door, there was a 8.5x11 piece of paper that said that the inside was closed. Yes, I know the dining room has been closed for months, but I've been able to get my food and take it to the patio. I understand the lack of staffing, too.
My complaint is that I couldn't see any indication that I wasn't going to get inside...until I was close enough to the door (~10 feet) to read the sign.
Recommendations: Put a big sign up so it can be read from a car when alternate operations are in place. Put signs on the handicap spaces so wheelchair drivers can see the situation before unpacking ability devices.
I did not eat Cane's that day.
