Visited again on Jun 29, 2024, as we liked all of the dishes we tried thus far. This time, we found some changes to the menu. One key thing was that there is now only one burger item made with Wagyu. A few weeks ago, the menu had 4 different burgers, all made with Wagyu beef. Other than the one that still had Wagyu, the burgers were with the "chuck staek." Well, we tried them. Unfortunately, they weren't as good as before. I am still keeping the 5-stars rating while reducing the food portion to 4 stars. Hopefully, the Wagyu options will return even if the inflationary forces lead to price increases. In May 2024, below. Exquisitely tasty food! What makes it special, for me, is the "added trimmings" to the main ingredient of a given (common) dish that makes the total combination it an exquisite creation! I couldn't stop myself from repeated self-expression of compliments! Take, for example, the American Wagyu Beef Burger. Obviously, the wagyu beef will add special flavor. But it was the other trimmings (not sure what all are there and the special sauce) that made it sing in my mouth! It was the same for the fish taco, with and without their hot sauce. The "v-shaped" serving stand for the tacos made it convenient to maintain the taco's form and to maintain the consistency of taste in each bite. Highly recommended for good and reasonably priced food, attentive service, and classy ambiance. We shall surely return. We did return 2 days later and shared the fish and chips and Hawaiian BBQ Wagyu Burger. The burger was excellent! We couldn't decide which one was better, this one or the one from two days ago. We'll try the Oswego Burger next time. The fish in the fish and chips was fresh, and the dish, good portion. Cole slas was ample and worthy to be served at Oswego. The fried fish and chips were a bit greasy. Chips/fries can be crisper also. Perhaps the oil temperature was lower than it should have been this day. Keeping the 5-star rating, however.

I finally got to visit Oswego Grill for my birthday last week, and the wait was sooo worth it!!! Dana, our server, was so welcoming and kind, and the food was phenomenal. We started with a seasonal special, the Clothesline Bacon, which is exactly what it sounds like. Candied bacon hung from clothespins from a little rack with sweet pickles and a mouth watering sweet sauce for dipping with some toasted herbs clipped to the side to add to the enticing aroma. For dinner I ordered the prime rib. It was MASSIVE. Juicy and tender, this beautiful cut of meat is served with a horseradish cream sauce and au jus. The potatoes were perfect and the asparagus that I added to the dish were also incredible. It tasted as if it had been cooked on a charcoal grill moments before making it to our table. Sooooo good! Then for dessert we ordered the Crème Brûlée... however, since we had mentioned that we were celebrating my birthday, I was brought a massive banana split sundae on the house with a card signed by the staff with well wishes. It was so kind and made me feel so special! Then we got our Crème Brûlée. Dana was amazing. She was genuinely nice and made sure we had the absolute best experience possible. The manager stopped by to check in on us as well, which was nice. When I asked for to go ramekins for my sauces, she brought me fresh sauces instead. I am a server myself and look for the little things when I go out, and every little thing was wonderful! I will absolutely be back, hopefully while they still have the bacon hanging around. Get it? I'll see myself out.

This place is pretty good, it's got a big menu with a lot of good looking things, poke bowels, sushi rolls, steaks, burgers, seafood. I ordered the blackened salmon Caesar salad and it was really good. I asked for bread and it was good also but had pretty thick crust, so you need a good set of teeth to eat it, the bread would probably be best with soup so that you could dip it in to soften the crust up a tad. But my teeth are ok, so I finished the bread and Caesar no problem. I do AV work and was here helping set up a Zoom dinner meeting, and I was impressed with the download speed here, like 300-400 Mbps, and the private dining room is pretty sweet for up to around 25 people. They also have a giant flat screen TV, so this is probably one of the top private dining rooms I've seen in the Portland metro area, as far as Internet speed and available display, the room is pretty quiet and private also. I have pictures of the meeting room which show the basics, I wish I would have remembered to take pictures of the blackened salmon Caesar, those would have been more interesting. The help is very nice and attentive also, I'd give this place an A-, just because from the outside it looks like a chain restaurant in a mall, but I guess you shouldn't always judge a book by it's cover.

I feel like I need to give context for this review so bare with me.

I firmly believe we’ve become quite immune to what great service and products are. You do not need to look far in the Zeitgeist to see what’s happening. Chipotle, Kelloggs, Cracker Barrel(very recently), just to name a few.

This mediocrity has gradually seeped into our every day lives. From the ingredients to the actual quality of our food. I’m on a mission to support local business. This means I’m willing to drive farther and pay more for a fantastic experience. I’m new to Beaverton, I love exploring and finding places I can return to often.

The review: Upon entering it took time for me to be acknowledged. The young lady at the hostess stand had her back turned. I don’t think she heard me walk in. I’m pretty patient so I waited a couple minutes. Note that it wasn’t busy. I really had to pee so I said, “where is your restroom, I’ll be back.”

I’m sure this was not the intention but the welcome into the restaurant felt awkward. Maybe a weird day?

Atmosphere: LOVED the cozy feel and the log beams. I felt like I could be at a cabin on the river or somewhere in Alaska or even Montana. I’m sure it’s quite romantic in the fall or winter.

Food: I have to say, I’ll never be a size four for two reasons: Ribeyes and crispy Brussels sprouts 😊

I knew I wanted these two things and I rarely veer away from this when I make the effort to eat out.

The quality was sub par for both items. Once I had a few bites of the sprouts, I pushed my plate aside. It lacked flavor and was unseasoned. The sauce had enough spice but made little sense. Perhaps if it was tossed and put in the oven again? They were crispy in some spots but not others, so unevenly cooked. May have been a fluke but this was my first time so I’ll go with my initial impressions.

The steak was THIN. I may be spoiled but I would have fared better grabbing a Ribeye from Wholefoods and cooking myself.

The good things though is that it was seasoned to my liking. Quite flavorful age cooked perfectly. I’m kind of salty about how thin it was. I need to take photos, I know.

Service: This was a bit odd or even funny. I’ve eaten at some awesome steak houses. I didn’t expect butler service but my server behaved a bit too casual for the establishment. He was dressed as one would expect of a more upscale establishment however I think he was close to dabbing me up. 🤣 It threw me off. Also, I barely saw the folks who delivered my food. I jokingly texted my friend that perhaps there is something more fun in the back happening. Certain details were missed. No steak knives before my entree was delivered. No check in after appetizer was dropped etc.

I know; I could easily have brushed this off. However, I’m of conviction and understanding that times are tough. Making the choice to go out to eat is a blessing and a privilege these days. We deserve a great experience when we choose to venture out.

I don’t think I’ll return alone. Maybe for drinks in the bar. I hope the feedback helps and it’s taken as well intended.

Thank you!

PS: Despite this, I ALWAYS take care of my server. I know the job...

As a member of the disabled/chronic pain community I would like to personally thank Oswego grill for their accommodating and thoughtful staff.

This last Friday we stopped by the restaurant for happy hour. The bar had just filled up so we happily put our name on a list and waited. After a few mins multiple other parties had been put on the list behind us.

Then this older couple walks in and starts talking to the hostess asking for a table and refused to accept there was a wait. I could tell by the look on this poor hostess's face they were trying to strong arm their way to a table, which they were successful at.

Right after they skipped ahead of 10-15 people waiting for their tables they also called us back as we were first on the list. We were immediately stopped by a waiter as we walked into the bar and asked if we could switch tables. We didn't think it was an issue so we agreed until we were walked to the actual bar with stools rather than one of the tables we were on the wait list for. I unfortunately cannot sit on a bar stool due to my disability and chronic pain ( As my disability is pain based it's invisible and I'm in my 20's so it's unsuspecting)

My partner runs back to our waiter and explained we can't do bar stools and need a table. Our waiter started walking us towards a booth that had been open and cleaned. Ima assuming this was the original table meant for us as we were actually on the list unlike the entitled old farts. The second waiter comes up to us again before we sat down and told us they actually needed this booth for the old couple due to womens physical limitations. I explained to the waiter i'm Also disabled and I had been waiting for a table for 30 minutes at this point. The waiter immediately apologized and sat us in the booth and promptly made our evening enjoyable with their great service and excellent food. I was left in severe pain from sitting in the booth so I can only imagine how bad the bar stool would have been.

There have been many situations where I was discriminated against due to being so young and not looking "disabled enough" and old people have been able to bully their way past me in line when they hardly seem physically limited themselves. Thank you to friday nights staff for giving me an opportunity to have a good night as it could have easily gone a...

i’ve been looking for a job in the area and i’m very well experienced in fast food so i thought applying here would be a good idea because i’m used to fast paced work. when i came in to get an application someone at the front said “uhm no i don’t think we have applications let me ask” so she asked her manager and he immediately said “yes! we are hiring” and got me an application, i filled it out and set up an interview time with him. when i came in for the interview i met with a lady and she was very nice, but said the other manger who was supposed to be interviewing me that day had just called out, and asked if i would be willing to come back to finish the second half of my interview. i understand stuff like that happens and it’s out of our control so i gladly rescheduled for a day i was going to be in town for an apt as i do not live in the area, she told me to come in at 1:30 as my apt was at 2 and right across the street. i came in for the follow up interview and was seated. i then waited until 1:55 for someone to sit and finally come talk to me, i had to explain to her that the reason the interview was set for 1:30 was because of my appointment, and that we were going to have to reschedule again because i had to get going, we set up a date and time and i received no apology but i understand how busy things can be. i came in for my now 3rd attempt at an interview for a friendly server to tell me “there’s no manager on duty to interview you, did you schedule this already?” i then told her the situation and she found someone to come speak with me. i got the same interview that i had already gotten the first time i came in, and she said “we have your application in the back so someone will be giving you a call shorty” even though the first interview i came to i was told that they couldn’t find my application, and that it got lost with papers in the office. at this point i was over it and just told her to have a nice day and left. it has been over a week and i obviously have not heard from anyone. completely unprofessional and unorganized, if you’re looking for a job this is not the...
