Review emailed to Corporate on 4/25/18: My children & I dined at the Jason's Deli in Bedford, TX last night (2200 Airport Freeway, #038). We've dined at other Jason's Delis, but this was our first visit to this location. We dined at 7pm, so the restaurant was less than half full. However, as customers left, the tables with plates of uneaten food remained on the tables. There were lots of staff behind the counter laughing and having a good time - not preparing food (as their were no regular customers coming through the door at that time). I took my daughter to the bathroom and both toilets were out of commission (both were clogged and there was wet toilet paper all over the floor). I let one of the boys behind the counter know that the bathroom needed attention. A few minutes later, we were getting ready to leave and I stopped by the counter and asked for the manager on duty. A woman stepped forward from talking to someone, Tiffany. I mentioned that I was the person that reported the bathrooms and her response was a curt "I know, I already cleaned the bathrooms." I then asked her about the state of the restaurant and all the dirty tables. She just shrugged her shoulders and stared at me vacantly. Attached are pictures of the tables towards the end of our dining at this location. There were 2 Hispanic women that were running the food and filling the salad bar. They remained busy all evening and those ladies hustled, however the rest of the staff spent their time behind the counter chatting and laughing loudly. It was clearly not a group effort. We've dined at the Grapevine location and had positive experiences, both with the salad bar remaining well stocked and the restaurant remained clean and picked up. This restaurant is a disgrace to the Jason's Deli brand. If this was our first time at a Jason's Deli, we would never return to one. I called and spoke with Bill LaValley, Managing Partner, this morning about our experience. I offered to send the pictures for him to view and he said it wasn't necessary and thanked me for calling then hung up. Hopefully, corporate has more interest in protecting their...
Read moreNo idea how this could possibly be this bad of service but surprised it actually happened.
We ordered ahead over the phone, arrive at the end of our window of 10-15 minutes because I hate waiting inside places, especially now with everything that is going on in the world. I check in once the person in front is served and told it will be just a few minutes he only has to bag it up by Alex.
After seven minutes I text my wife who is waiting in the car with our infant that man it really does take a few minutes to bag them up.
A walk up order comes in and orders our exact order. In five minutes they are out the door. Another walk in comes up, and again they are out the door in five minutes. Now it turns out they are just now starting our order. This is at this point a full 30 minute ordeal.
Finally our order comes with no extra apologies or offers of a drink or dessert or discount. Keep in mind the first walk in asked for a third drink to take to their girlfriend and Alex joked to just tell him he has pretty eyes and he'll get them one. A pick up that came in at our 35 minute mark was asked if he would like a drink because he had a large order and it would be a few more minutes.
At this point during the check out alex can sense I'm irate but only after I made a point to identify that it was odd that two walk ins could get served before us. I was told that they had already started on their order and that's why it was so fast. I guess Alex is clairvoyant. Only at this point does he ask if I want a drink or dessert on the house. After 35 minutes. After two walk ins were served. After being told it would only be a few minutes he just needed to bag it.
Own your mistakes brother. Say you forgot to put our order in and offer to make it right. My wife and kid sat in the car for 20 minutes for a pick up order. Nebraska furniture mart handles pick up orders better. You guys are making meals for people and not everyone can afford to go out. Make it special, own your mistakes and make it right.
Ridiculous...
Read moreI would love to give this Jasons deli a five star review but however there are problems from time to time. I eat here a lot and I can’t distinguish where the problem lies. Everything seems like a hit or miss. Sometimes you’ll get here in the place is really filthy and sometimes it’s really really clean. Doesn’t matter whether they’re busy or not. Sometimes the Food isn’t as good as other times. Sometimes you’re baked potato is hard and crunchy ,sometimes it’s overcooked and dark. I’ve had a few dry sandwiches as well. Sometimes employees are working really hard and sometimes they’re all standing around talking and not seeing that there’s customers in the front just waiting for them to stop talking. This is a problem because this is where the managers should be out delegating, Especially when there’s nothing but young kids working. I think that if the managers delegated more instead of talking or working in the kitchen where they make the to go orders, then maybe they will see the problems that they need to address. However; there are some employees that work hard for this location and I hope that they get recognized for it. There is a blonde headed young girl that works at night and her hair is like a bleach blonde look. I see her on the line but she used to work on the register. There is a Hispanic woman that is always stocking the salad bar. There is a Hispanic girl that works the line most of the time and once in a while I’ll see her bringing food to the customers and she has braces on. Those employees should be recognized and I hope that good things come their way for the hard work that they do. All of the managers are very nice and I miss Melissa working nights but I do enjoy Kathy. She seems to have a good working disposition. Also a concern of mine is that hair is below the shoulders and no hairnet. I thought that hair had to be above the shoulders or a hairnet Has to be worn . Also, could you please bring back the chocolate...
