The food wasnt bad but wasnt the best I've had. I would revisit to give this place another try.
Family friendly. Not pet friendly. Parking lot.
FOOD:
Lamb Dumplings (10 pieces) $13.00: Decent lamb flavor but wasnt very much flavor in general. I really liked the fact the dumpling wrapper were all hand made but they were a little thicker than I would like.
Spiced Beef Shank Salad in Chili Oil $9.99: Beef texture was good, nice kick without being over powering. Would order again.
Tingly Beef Biang Noodles (soup) $14.99: Very flavorful with good soup-to-noodle ratio. Beef had great flavor. Handmade noodles had good texture though a little thicker than I would prefer.
Spicy Tingly Beef Biang Noodles (dry mix) $13.99: Not my favorite of the four things we order. I prefer the soup base one better.
RESTAURANT/INTERIOR: Very clean and minimalist type of restaurant which I like. When you first walk in, they have a giant touch screen for you order from. I'm not sure if this was added due to the pandemic but its a nice touch especially since they had photos for every item.
STAFF: Similar to most Chinese restaurant, the staff do not provide the a 5 star customer service. They are polite but dont expect any smiles :) The staff let you enjoy your privacy is probably the best way...
Read moreWent here for dine in twice, in general it was a terrible experience.
Food- The food is mediocre, we ordered the signature noodles and a few signature xi’an dishes. The noodles were pretty bad and way too saucy, didn’t look appetizing either (see other people’s photos, I didn’t bother to take any). Portion sizes are small and for two people, 2 appetizers and 2 entrees were not enough. The food was not quite authentic either, as per my Chinese friend who grew up in xi’an, and he mentioned that there were major differences in expectations.
Environment - The tables are in a common food court style area and lacked people to clean them, the table we sat at was pretty dirty and had food scraps from the last customer(s).The area for adding condiments was pretty chaotic and all condiments were in open air containers that allowed anyone to do anything they wanted to with them. Heavy contrast with other places that have single use containers and covid style cleaning procedures.
Prices - In general the prices are a bit high with subpar quality compared to other xi’an joints like taste of xi’an. Expect about ~$30 per person, though you could easily get better value and food going next door to Boiling Point or really...
Read moreOnly reviewing because there are so many 1 star reviews and that’s just wrong, This place is fantastic
I think there are a lot of Chinese people in these reviews saying it’s not as good as what’s available in China😂 PSA: You are in Bellevue
This was better than the spot in U District imo, delicious follow-up to a soak/sauna at Yuan Spa.
Good prices for Bellevue/Seattle - $10 - $15 for massive portions of noodles and lamb + complimentary sweet tea - as good as it gets for the quality ! Got dumplings, cucumber salad, tingly lamb noodles, lamb skewers, all great
Great flavors - they did go a little light on the spice even though we ordered extra spicy (I suspect because we are white - fair enough)
Would...
