This is a great community resource, but as of recently has become a casualty of the city’s leftist leaning policies as more and more socialists are voted into office. Daily, the parking lot has become a place to do car repairs, etc while leaving oil stains. For a small park, every spot in the 12 space lot is taken up frequently so I’m pretty sure neighbors use it for overflow parking. This is also an assumption when you see high-end sports cars parked either over night. Most parks close at dusk. The last few weeks the park has become home to a homeless couple who apparently find sleeping there more comfortable than the shelter downtown. I’m sure they are like most who want to continue the freedom of shooting up rather than follow the rules of the shelter as when I see them walking out of the park daily with all of their trappings, they are essentially stumbling down the sidewalk. The gentleman involved appears to have mental health trauma as the conversations he has, out loud with emphasis in loud, are random and not directed to the woman he is with. This is just the two I see daily. I’m sure there are more using the park for a living area. So, in this case the label of “safe park” I see when looking up parks in Bellevue does not appear to fit this venue...
Read moreAlways clean. There's a nice little playground with some interesting pieces. There's also a tennis court, and big grassy area next to the tennis court, another grassy area with a picnic table, and a little bit of a trail through the woods.
I love that this park feels like it's buried in the woods.
I took off a star because although they have restrooms here, they are closed for more than half the year! I don't understand why the bathrooms would be seasonally closed for that long, and it's pretty messed up when you consider that there's no public places nearby to fulfill that need. If you take your kids here to play, you just have to hope they don't need to use that restroom, or you're gonna have to leave and go pretty far to get...
