Classic donut shop! When I was depressed I went 2-4x a week to get a strawberry-banana smoothie. Best smoothie ever, especially when you add cinnamon! Sometimes I randomly get the craving and I can recall exactly how it tasted and the smooth cold texture. I like that theyre opened late because that is usually when I get sugar craving and after a long day of being depressed thats when you need a treat the most. ...I hardly go anymore because Im not as depressed as I once was, but this place brought me much comfort in a time of need:,) Donuts are good, I love a classic glaze twist or one of those round sprinkle donuts, my brother gets a maple bar everytime. Smoothies come with boba, but I usually get without even though Im a fan of boba and the tapioca here is actually great quality! Every time I get donuts at this place, they are stale. I think the Grannys on Lakewood and Artesia has fresher Donuts. The owner, or at least I think she's the owner, will nickel and dime you to death in this place. She doesn't want to give napkins everything seems like it's a chore to ask for or to give you. They charge to run your debit card. It's charge, charge, charge, and to top it off, she has a tip jar waiting there. I'm not going to tip the owner when she's overcharging, or charging more than other donut shops. I'm not going to tip her when she's doing all she can to squeeze every dime out of people. I stopped by for a dozen donuts to treat the kids and I was surprised when the man told me they limit the filled donuts to only 3. Has this always been a thing? I’ve never had that happen to me anywhere else. Then I was surprised again when he said my total was $18.80. Clearly I haven’t bought donuts in a while.
