New Review: Under new ownership and 100% will not return. The easiest way to say this is, my original review is now the complete opposite. I took a friend thinking nothing has changed, it's just new owners. WRONG! Everything changed, even the staff was rude. I have not gone back and I won't go back. This was such a great place.

Old Review: I rarely go out to eat, so when I do I try to find spots that are unique and charming. Where food is amazing and the people drawn to the space are high vibration and inviting.

Jackson's Corner exceeded all of the above. The space is full of warmth and down to earth upscale rustic brick and mortar decor, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. It almost feels like your stepping into someone's home. That's the best way to describe the energetic vibe. The patrons are just as friendly. I'm generally painfully shy in public, and I felt so comfortable talking to people and had some genuinely nice conversations.

Now for the food! WOW! Absolutely delicious! I've not ever had biscuits and gravy like the ones prepared for me today. Usually it's diner style and you feel a little weighed down after. Or a lot... Not here!

I ate every bite and felt amazing afterwards. You can tell the quality of food by how your body feels after a meal. The eggs were perfect and the bacon was thick and delicious! If you like a little kick to your perfectly prepared breakfast potatos the spicy ketchup is a nice addition. I believe it was home made and it was wonderful!

The line was long to order, but was well worth it. It's a find I'm extremely grateful for. I will be going back!

The coffee is aces too! Thank you Jackson's Corner for a perfect Sunday...

We were surprised to find this place tucked in the middle of a neighborhood…definitely didn’t expect that. Parking on the street can be a bit tricky, but we managed to snag a space. We were there before 9 am, which we thought was pretty early but the queue was from the ordering counter to the door. The line kinda moved slow and it was a while till we got to order. We were told that the lox and some other item were not available. Between us we ordered plain and chocolate croissants for the kids, Boursin omelette for both of us and a monkey bread to share. The kids got their croissant immediately and they relished it. Our cappuccinos were good and didn’t take too long to come. The monkey bread was something my kids hadn’t tried before, and we all liked it more than a cinnamon bun kinda bread. Our omelettes took a while to come but it was fluffy & light on cheese omelette. My husband got his with a side salad and liked the salad a lot. Overall it was a good omelette but am not sure if it was worth the price tag of 17 bucks each. The next morning, we were heading out by 7 am so decided to pick up food on our way out, since it was quite close to where we were staying…unfortunately even though they were open at 7 am, their bakery stuff was not all available…as in they were still being baked. So with limited choice we picked up couple almond croissants and scones. We are not fans of almond croissants that add almond essence and as expected these croissants had the faint cherry flavor to it. We ate it nonetheless. Kids did like their scones. To summarise, good place to grab breakfast but little on the higher...

Worst lunch I've had in a while. I got the Thai Salad with "soy glazed" veggies (an extra $7.50). The veggies had no soy glaze. They were just regular roasted veggies, half of which were TOTALLY undercooked. Pretty sure there were raw potatoes in there? But I can't really say what the things were that looked and crunched like raw potatoes. Gross. The lettuce was stringy. The dressing was meh. Very disappointed. This place is totally overrated. My friend's meal was even more disgusting. She got the steak sandwich and the bread was overloaded with garlic and burned her tongue. The steak was super chewy and all of it tried to pull out of the sandwich with each of the two bites that she took before giving up completely. Never going back. Barf.

UPDATE: My order was a part of a larger order for our whole office. I have since asked everyone else in my office what they thought of their meal. The news wasn't good. 3 people ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, 3 people received bottom bun soup in the box and had to eat just the chicken with a fork and knife. Two others ordered the Jackson's Blue salad and reported that it was just a sloppy pile of lettuce with a few apples on top. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

UPDATE 4/23/25: Got another office lunch and tried the Corner Cobb Salad with salmon. Very meh. The portion of salmon was tiny for a $10 upcharge and the croutons were so stale I almost cracked a tooth. I was really hoping for improvement under new ownership. Sadly that doesn't seem to...

Alter egos. Their appeal is undeniable. Just think how much Clark Kent must have enjoyed transforming himself into Superman at a moment’s notice! 💪 To those who believe that developing an alter ego is an unrealistic endeavor, I offer the hope that such heights can be achieved through the selection of a “coffee name.” I mean, who’s gonna stop you from being whomever you wanna be whilst ordering that White Mocha Latte? ☕️ My chosen alter ego/coffee name is “Jackson”, so visiting “Jackson’s Corner” for breakfast felt imperative while in Bend, Oregon. Although the “Avocado Toast” looked excellent on the menu without supplementation, I decided to increase its super powers by layering eggs and bacon upon it. While I’m not a bread guy, the “miche bread” from local bakery “Sparrow” was a superhero of its own accord and the radish provided a distinctive 🤛 of flavor. The “French Toast Beignets” were pillowy soft, featured an incredible bourbon vanilla maple syrup, and included pecan butter to slather upon it. While signature coffee selections are available, their regular coffee was worthy of requesting a “to go” cup on the way out the door. Although the food, ambiance, and service needed no improvement, our experience was further enhanced by their music selection of often overlooked talents such as Lake Street Dive and Nathaniel Rateliff. 👏 Thank you @j_alexandra89 for recommending this place to us! And that’s…Henry’s Take. #bendbreakfast #superherobreakfast

Not impressed. We were traveling through Bend, it's 11:00am, we haven't eaten today and we're hungry. Dee finds Jackson's Corner on her phone. She likes eclectic one-offs, so we gave it a chance. It appears to be the only commercial venue in a neighborhood setting. We ended up parking curbside a few blocks away. No problem, it's a sunny day and we don't mind the walk. For 11:00am it's a little busy, and we figured out after a few minutes that this was counter service, not table service. There were multiple pages on the menu but most of it was taken up by beverages: beer, wine, and coffee. The food offerings, I thought, were limited. We stood in line and placed our order. She ordered Tuscan White Bean soup with sclice of "Country Loaf" and potato salad. I ordered a Grilled Chicken sandwich with "fermented jalapeño-honey sauce. Even at 11:00 it was hard to find a table inside. We ended up sitting at one that had yet to be cleaned from the last patron. And then the wait... Although we weren't keeping time, we both noticed how slowly the food was in coming. We both felt we waited for 30 to 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Let me make this simple, the jalapeno-honey sauce was the highlight. Everything else was sub par. Clean bathroom, though.
