We are visiting from out of town, and had been super excited to have dinner and participate in the Pink Pony Bingo that had been advertised on Facebook as taking place every Thursday at 7. We arrived 10 minutes prior to that, only to be told it actually wasn't being held this evening. We decided to stay anyway, because at this point my kids were hungry. We were seated and told our server would be with us shortly. After a bit of a wait, she came over and took our drink orders and started walking away without asking about any starters, so I quickly said we'd like an order of the Sprouts. She returned with our drinks about 10 minutes later, and then said "I'll go put in the sprouts now" which was weird to us all, especially because at that point we were ready to order. About 10 minutes passed, and she finally checked back in and said the kitchen was running behind, and they should be out in two minutes. 10 MORE minutes passed, and as we were deciding if we even wanted to order actual food, the sprouts got delivered to the table and she took our food orders. At this point we had been there for 40 minutes. Our food didn't take nearly as long as the sprouts to come out, but when it did every single plate was "okay" but nothing spectacular, let alone worth the prices. My youngest ordered salmon and it was lukewarm. My oldest ordered Ramen with added pork, and they didn't even provide a spoon for the broth, which doesn't seem like something we should have to ask for. I ordered the blackened shrimp tacos and the Thai chicken tacos. There were only 2 shrimp on the shrimp taco, and they were definitely not blackened. The Thai taco was so runny it left a huge puddle on the plate. The rice and beans were flavorless. My husband said his burger was fine, but pretty small. All in all, it was a really disappointing dinner for $150 all said and done, and I can't imagine us being motivated to give it another try. I -will- say there was another server, Sammy, who was busting her butt and super attentive to the other tables around us. Maybe it was just an off day for our server and the...
Read moreMy experience was great here until the end. Food was delicious, service was quick. We were in a party of 3, and our tab came out to $180, which felt high. We checked the itemized receipt and there was a 20% built in gratuity, which was fine (we typically tip 20-30% anyways). We sign the receipts and leave 7% additional tip (the biggest suggested). 5 minutes later, our waitress angrily approaches and asks if the service was bad. We say no, and she confronts us about “the service seemingly being bad because we only left a 7% tip” and then she storms off. I ask for the manager and I explain the situation to him and he took responsibility for the misunderstanding because the automatic gratuity was not normal. I appreciated him humbleness, but our waitress never came back to apologize after confronting us about leaving a 7% tip when we left upwards of 35%. She just stood around the corner with her arms crossed like a child. Upset because the food was AMAZING but truly don't even feel comfortable coming back here. Because even IF we did only tip 7%, you don't confront your...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I had driven by this place so many times and finally I decided that we should give it a try for our Valentine’s Day dinner. It was beyond what we were hoping for. It’s very casual and the music was cranking. It was a nice selection of classic rock and some newer favorites as well that set the mood nicely for a Saturday night out. Reminiscent of karaoke nights. We split a Scorpion Bowl which at only $8 was one of the best values I’ve seen in a long time. We each tried an appetizer of their special for the day. She had jalapeño and cheese deviled eggs while I had buffalo chicken dumplings with a bleu cheese drizzle. Both were incredible. For our main course, she got the lemon asparagus risotto with salmon and I got a single taco with pork belly, lettuce, pickle ranch and an onion ring. It was just the right amount of food and was so good that I can’t wait to go back and try everything on the menu. There are several more drinks I need to try and can’t wait to frequent this place once the...
