Sandy's is the absolute best! I was in Big Bear for a getaway weekend, but needed a spot to watch multiple NWSL matches. Unfortunately, the games could only be watched through an app that wasn't working on my phone, so Paul let me use his phone to cast onto the big screen for the entire 90+ minutes! One of the matches was postponed to the following morning, and while Paul wasn't there to help with casting onto the TV, Brian was more than happy to set me up in a corner of the main bar area near an outlet so I could watch the match on my laptop!
They have an excellent variety of beers, a vast food menu (even breakfast!), and all the prices are very reasonable.
Huge shout out to Paul for going truly above and beyond to ensure I could watch my games, to Brian for being the best bartender around and making me feel so welcome (even remembering my name!), and to Ashley for such great service despite my outbursts...
Read moreWhat a wonderful sports bar! Large, beautiful horseshoe shaped bar when you walk in. Very spacious with a lot of arcade games and tournament sized pool tables! Multiple large TVs everywhere for your viewing pleasure.
I started with my favorite skinny margarita and finally I found a bartender in Big Bear who was able to make it perfectly. Anthony, who was our server was exceptional and also made the margarita perfectly!
We ordered the Sandy’s chicken nachos and oh my goodness they were just fabulous! Huge, huge portion with plenty of chicken and all the good stuff! And what was very unique was on the very bottom they had a large flower tortilla spread with the beans so after you eat all the toppings off, you roll it up and eat it like a burrito. The chips were nice and large, hot and crunchy. We were full for the whole day & did not even eat dinner! Lol Will definitely be back here!...
Read moreThis rating is for the food only, not the sports bar. I like to try new places everytime i visit big bear. Came in for a quick dinner with son and 2 yr old granddaughter. The place looks really cool, full of TV's and games. Paul, our server was very nice. That's the good. Had some cheese sticks as appetizer, which were definitely microwaved, lukewarm. Ordered a ceasar salads and wedge that were ok. The kids pasta butter noodles was overcooked. The consistency of rubberbands for the most part. Not much flavor, fries were ok. Not much freshness here. It looks like this place is the place to be for sporting events with all the TVs and the great big bar. But I didn't care for the food. We could have done...
