Long John Silver's | KFC — Restaurant in Big Rapids

So, the fries are amazing. The service was alright, but only 2 straws were given for 3 drinks and no napkins. I ordered a kids meal with nuggets and fries. The nuggets were more like popcorn chicken and were cold and not crispy at all. They were bland and a couple of my 5 piece micro sized nuggets had tough meat in them that was dry. My son's ordered spicy chicken sandwich meals. One son loved his, the other said it was bland (he likes a lot of flavor). The sandwiches were very thick and big, though. So, good proportions for the money. Both loved the fries. Overall, not a terrible experience. I would not go back for the nuggets... I'd go somewhere else for those but get the fries there! (Also, the "toy" for the kids' meal... stickers. And yes, I get the kids' meal because I do not want a lot...

Ordered the $20 "taste of KFC" meal. Accurately named because with sides like this a taste is about all you get. The chicken was average at best. I can't decide on an adjective to accurately describe the sides. Pathetic? Disappointing? Mediocre? Depressing? Is the coleslaw meant to be shared? Because my husband assumed there must be been another after he'd ate the small container. Spoiler alert: there wasn't. What really tipped the scales and elicited this scathing review? The mashed potatoes and gravy. Gravy? WHERE?!? Where the F is the gravy?! I get that these are stupidly small containers and they only hold so much but.... I'd gladly take a little less of the mashed potatoes if it meant actually getting more than "a taste...

Picked my BF up at the airport in Grand Rapids. He’d been craving Long John Silvers for weeks so we stopped in Big Rapids. We placed our order at 11:22 for a 2 piece chicken dinner and a fish & shell combo platter. We were told the hush puppies would take about 10 minutes. No problem we told them. 20 minutes later I went to check on our order and it still wasn’t available. After standing there it was finally available at 11:48. 26 minutes AFTER we placed our order. This is “fast food” ?? The fish was dry, tough and tasteless and the hush puppies were not cooked all the way thru. Talk about disappointed !! The restaurant was not busy and everyone’s orders were taking forever. I would definitely not recommend...
