Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Billings

I had an wonderful experience last week and we didn't want to go home so we decided to go again. We sat at the bar. It took a while to get bartender Linda's attention she had a coat on and went out side not sure if maybe she was doing the to go service or if she went for a smoke break. We ordered our food I got the exact thing I got last time. I add some extras and the time before explained,the extra salad was 99 cents and onions were 99 cents and mushrooms,were 99 cents so I knew that and decided to do the same thing. I wasn't halfway through my meal and I was asked about deserts and given my check. I looked at my check and my salad was 4.99 my onions are 99 cents and my mushrooms were 1.29. I explained to the bartender that the prices were totally different it was like she didn't believe me and said curtly "no its these prices. If you want you can talk to my manager" Manager came in it was the same manager last time and basically agreed with the bartender and we got 1.50 off. The bartender ingnord us then finally gave us the changed check. When I was looking for my card I found my old receipt from the last time. I tried to do small talk and apologized for being a nusence about it and I showed her the past check to show that I wasn't lying. You could tell she was mad looked it the receipt and said I don't know and then said well its the same thing now (which didn't make sense). I got my coat ready and left no good bye at all. You walk in, the hostess grabs your menus, and just starts walking off without saying anything. Seats us at the wrong table, server came by and told us that section is closed. No big deal. We get seated at a different table. We order our drinks which were by far the best experience about the evening. The garlic paresan shrimp and steak with mashed potatoes. We both got them cooked med rare. When brought to the table there wasnt any of the shrimp or parmesan garlic lemon sauce. Waitress comes back with the steak toppings and apologizes. All fine. She forgot quite a few of the sides I ordered but I just let it slide. She must have walked away without writing it all down because at least it wasn't on the receipt. The drinks were great. I will have the say the bar is the best thing about this place. The steaks were inconsistent. One steak was tough and chewy and overcooked, the other was thicker and undercooked but it was actually so delicious. The inconsistent steak quality under the gritty butter lemon parmesan sauce with shrimp was so disappointing. The mashed potatoes were less appetizing than paper machet. The broccoli was okay but it seemed the butter wasnt even coating the broccoli rather than just sitting in a small puddle of it. At $22.50 a plate I think there should have been something redeeming about it. Sad. Still tipped 10%, but next time I come here I think I will opt out of the dining experience and just...

If I could rate 0 stars I would. When we got sat down, our waitress was obviously high on something, we ordered our drinks with her and they came almost 30 minutes later When we finally got our drinks they were spilling over the top and got soda all over our table, We order our food when we got our drinks and we did 2 oriental salads, Mac n cheese and a burger with 2 appetizers We got one appetizer (mozzarella sticks)out to our table then 15 minutes later we got the other one (boneless chicken)and another appetizer that we didn’t order( bone in chicken) It’s been a hour since we sat down and we still haven’t gotten our entrées and our waitress come over and asks if we want a refill on our drinks and we said yes but another 15 minutes go by and she comes to our table with food that we didn’t order and she goes to the table next to us and asked if it’s their food, (it’s not, they already paid and were about to leave) It’s a hour and half later we haven’t gotten our entrées or refill on our drinks so we just left after we talked to the manager (who thankfully comped our meals)
