March 10, 2025 (Monday afternoon) - Abysmal does not even begin to describe my experience at this Wendy’s. I have never been a fan of fast food restaurants (except for Zaxbys and Panda Express, they’re the absolute best), but this particular visit really answered all the questions I had.
Sure, the wait on getting our food was very long, but it’s Wendy’s, what did I expect? But this day’s wait was exceptionally long (30+ minutes!!). It reminds me of the Wendy’s in Columbus (Polk County 28722) as I waited longer, and longer, and longer. Not to mention my dad PUT A MOBILE ORDER IN expecting a much shorter preparation. UPDATE: The only working member took 45 MINUTES (yes, I timed it) to have it ready. ACTUALLY, she got it done in 5 minutes and let it get cold for 40!!! FORTY VERY LONG MINUTES!!!
When my dad got our beverages (two large cups of sweet iced tea) I expected a quality taste. The tea had tasted like it was made A WEEK ago and there was WAY TOO MUCH SUGAR in it. I physically couldn’t finish it by the time I left this hell-hole so I - like the average American I am - poured out the liquid poison and got flavored Coca-Cola, which is far better.
Don’t even get me started on the food, which was clearly a huge waste of money ($20 total!!!). My dad got two cheeseburgers. From my eyes, it looked like the cheese was not melted at all and the frozen beef patties were BURNT TO A CRISP! I didn’t even bother taking a bite of it, I don’t want E. coli.
My food? For at least a year, I’ve been religiously ordering saucy nuggs. First one was the garlic parm, which tasted absolutely amazing but cleared my whole house since my body is quite overactive when I eat anything consisting of garlic. When I got them this time (honey bbq) I genuinely couldn’t believe it. They were extremely overcooked and chewy, that I was almost unable to even take a successful bite. There was far too little sauce on the nuggs it was like you were too lazy to make the sauce fresh so you put a pack or regular bbq over it and literally microwaved it. You cannot disguise it and expect me not to tell. I could definitely tell.
Don’t even get me started on our fries. Let me put it in one-word terms: Cold, Bland, Broken, Overcooked, Burnt, Bitter, Disgusting. Disgusting enough that I thought putting ranch all over them would make them moist and crunchy (in an actually pleasant way). UPDATE: It made it far worse. I literally had to throw them away, literally a waste of $6 (I’m sorry, dad; I’M NOT AND WILL NEVER BE SORRY, WENDY’S)
I hope to never return to this location ever again. If I ever do, my family made me. Should’ve went to Taco Bell or McDonald’s when I...
Read moreHonestly you people have no idea what these staff members go through. They have nobody to work your food takes so long because they get a rush full of people and not enough staff to get your food quick enough. It takes so long in line in the dinning room because they can only take two orders at a time. They have one person making your sandwiches 80% of the time. Meaning they do drive thru and front counter. On a good day there will be someone specifically for the dinning room sandwiches. All of you listing long wait times is understandable but maybe think about WHY you’ve had to wait so long. Maybe someone ordered 8 sandwiches before you. Maybe there is only three people working. And rude staff members? we’re u guys rude to them first? and maybe sometimes they aren’t giving you attitude they are just overworked and tired. These reviews are honestly disappointing because you people don’t ever think about what is going on behind the scenes. They don’t just stand around they have certain people for certain jobs. Meaning if you see someone at the counter “standing around” they are waiting for your food to get done. They arent trained to make sandwiches. Most of the people that work there are doing the jobs of three people. On a good day where they are fully staffed you won’t have to wait so long. It truly depends on the day and time you go in and how many people are there. It isn’t the staff members fault. Try and put yourself in their position. You old folks have no idea what it’s like to work at a fast food place that’s understaffed. It’s sucks. Get some empathy and think twice about leaving a bad review. Long wait time, boohoo gain some patience. Maybe some sympathy. They don’t want you to wait 30 minutes for food. It’s just how it is sometimes if you don’t like it stop eating there. They try their best with what they have. It’s a harsh place. If you think they have a bad attitude maybe they had a rude person before you. Maybe they are bagging your food, getting your drink, getting your fries, taking you order, taking your money.the job of THREE people. I wouldn’t be happy either. Maybe not everything is about you and it’s not personal. Maybe they’ve had a bad day. You have no idea what anyone working there goes through. If you could see without the impatience in your eyes you would have sympathy for them trying their best to get your food to you....
Read more2/13/22: This is the second time I've ate at this location. First time was sometime during January 2022, a surprisingly not bad experience based off the downfall of Wendy's over the past 10 years. I was generally pleased as my order was correct and my food was actually hot although the staff isn't the friendliest. My second experience today, 2/13/22 was horrible. There was no line but I simply ordered the $5 Biggie Bag (because I wanted upsized drink and fries rather than what comes in the 4 for $4) but no bacon on the burger, which seemed like a big ordeal to not put bacon on it as well as my request for a raspberry vanilla coke with light ice from the Freestyle coke machine. The response I got was that they could do either or but I had ordered the same last time and the response I got was a dreaded "FINE". I was nothing but polite and kind and even tipped $5 and told the server to have a blessed Sunday. To my disappointment, since this is the first food I've had all day and it was 4 pm - the burger was cold, hard buns, not fresh at all, and neither were the fries or nuggets. The order was correct and the drink was on point but other than that, I just went back home, 15 min away, ate something else since I only ate the burger slathered in ketchup and tasted the fries and nuggets- I couldn't finish them, bleh. I came back, another 15 minutes, after eating food from home and expressed my experience politely and empathize knowing I've worked in food for over 10 years. I requested a refund and compensation for my experience and was given the refund and a $10 gift card. Wendy's used to be my family's go to stop when we took road trips but sadly Wendy's has gotten bad. I'm willing to go back and appreciate the server's willingness to fix this matter. I gave three stars for hopes next time will be better and that Wendy's improves their quality of food and customer service but kudos to the server during this hard time working in fast food and just in general because I'll never go back to fast food. Thank you to those who do! PS. Always ask for a receipt, they never give me one or ask...
