I am Chinese, and the owner of the restaurant is from my hometown. To be honest, I hope the owner can make improvements to the quality of the dishes. The Chinese food served, including staples like fried noodles and fried rice, did not meet my expectations and were not authentic. Additionally, the dishes were generally too oily and salty. The owner of this restaurant serves in the Globe area of the IU dormitory every Friday. Read moreI just recently started ordering here and haven't had a bad meal yet. I've tried Chicken and Broccoli, Chicken with Garlic Sauce, Pork with Garlic Sauce, Braised Pork, Braised Chicken, Salted Chicken....every single dish was excellent.
The portion sizes are big, especially the Chicken with Garlic. I don't really understand how anyone could write a poor review about the quality of the food they received from here.
It isn't the fastest place, by any means. It's going to be 20-30 min on carry out, and 45-60 min on delivery. They need to learn to overestimate, rather than underestimate, how long until your order...

I got the duck egg in ginger sauce (may look off-putting to some as they look black, but that's how they are prepared and they are delicious), squid in chile (not nearly as spicy as I was hoping, but tasted good all the same), and their hot and sour soup (served very hot and tasted as good or better as any I've gotten from any other restaurant).
