Rush Hour Station is one of my favorite places to eat in Bloomington. I NEVER leave reviews but felt compelled after eating there so many times and falling in love with each dish. I have told so many people about it and they are now hooked!
I didnt realize it was vietnamese food from the name of the restaurant so I guess you can call that a " Dont judge a book by its cover" moment.
I once ordered 3 diffrent meals to go just to try thier selection of food and I would have not done so if I didnt think it was going to be worth it...and it was!
I am obsessed with spicy food so this restraunt and I are best friends! If you can't have or want spicy food there are plenty of other things that will satisfy your tastebuds!
I love the ramen bowls and they always let me modify it to have exactly what l want and dont want in my dish which is very nice of them to do so.
My mother ordered the curry with her choice of protien and she got the chicken. I tasted it and FELL IN LOVE! I am very picky about my curry and this place nailed it!
Even the jasmine rice alone has such a wonderful taste and aroma and I have yet to find another place with such good jasmine rice. I didnt even need to season it because of its wonderful flavor stands alone without adding anything. So yummy!
The staff are ALWAYS helpful, warm, friendly and accomadating.
The portions are VERY generous, to say the least. The prices are very affordable especially for the portion size.
Other favs to mention is the drunken noodle and the basil stir fry. I do believe one very popular dish is the "anger management" but I have yet to try it, but I will be ordering it very soon. In fact, I might go right now!
The setting is order at a counter and then the food is brought out in a fast timley manner to you to eat there or to go. They have a cozy indoor seating as well as a great outdoor patio!
I noticed that the menu online is deceiving for it does not list all there mouth watering copious selection of yummy food.
Upon further searching I did found another website that had almost the whole menu. Point being, dont let the online menu keep you from not going for you think it lacks in selection. You have many, many choices.
You have to try this place...
Read moreThey started a new menu, Ramen. I had one of those, Pork & Miso, and want to give 9.9 out of 10. It keeps the authentic Japanese flavors and, at the same time, includes some improvements that more diverse people would love to taste. I am going again today to try other kinds of Ramen there. It must be my first time to give five stars in Bloomington. "You Complete Me", "Meatball Sout", and small or medium "French Fries" are my usual orders.
(1) Staff: Friendly, Humorous, and Hard Working. I believe they have some kind of healthy philosophy on their job.
(2) Foods: I never leave any piece of my dish. It is worth eating all. Even, the french fries are very fresh (crispy surface and soft inside). I have my own recipe to make sauce there. I will not disclose the secret. One tip is that I mix the different sauce in my own way.
(3) Service: Very quick and decent.
(4) Place: I like the mood of the place. Casual & clean.
I definitely am recommending this place to my friends. All of them...
Read moreI absolutely love this place. Every time I come here, the food is always cooked fresh to order so it's steamy hot. Service is great too. Food comes out in a reasonable time. There's free tap water and they put out a bowl of ice. There's a little sauce station so you can mix together your sauces for your pho. Pictured is the tofu pho and chicken pho. Comes with bean sprouts, fresh cut jalapenos, and lime on the side. I also had their salt and pepper fries and chicken and pork gyoza. All very very flavorful. The only thing is this place can get crowded and the space is a little crammed but still manageable to get around. There's outside seating with a top cover. I still give this place a 5 star rating. I'm a regular and appreciate restaurants that stay consistent with their service and food quality like this place. Definitely...
