Def not wheelchair accessible so send in a friend...worth the hassle, I promise. Been living off of weak, "necessity" coffee for the past 2.5 days. Nice to finally have found a place that does right by actual cocoa beans and that has some kick. Kaysie greeted us with a smile and took our order. She helped us with a perfectly halved cookie for our 2 toddlers and as a result WW3 was successfully avoided! Yay! Ordered the medium classic latte. Did not disappoint. Cookies are large and super sweet with a huge flavor of butter. Soft and delicious. They have bakery made biscottis, a nice Fall Season set of specialty drinks and plenty of other beverage selections available as well. Super clean. The staff was slammed up until I took the pic of them havin a small pow wow. Then within seconds they were back to busy. Love how they transformed what seems to be a historic home into a cafe/camp gear shop with upstairs seating. This also has to be one of the cleanest cafes I have ever visited despite the crowd in and out. Upstairs is a book nook or quiet space and another more social style seating area. They could def give Starbucks a run for their money. When you are done frollicking downtown among the bustling streets, head down to the end of the block for some quality joe. Their restroom is out of order currently so they have a notice on how to locate a public facility nearby. Wait time insanely minimal & staff worked like a machine to get...
Read moreSuper disappointed in this local coffee shop. I sent my husband in to get a Chai tea latte & a Frappuccino. He came out upset, which is very unlike him. He was really upset about how the older gentleman, we're guessing was the manager, was too focused on talking to his female employee about how "she should buy a Honda Element because she could lay the seats down in the back & make a bed back there." Which came across as an inappropriate conversation because the female employee seemed uncomfortable & this older gentleman handed making the drinks off to the younger guy there to continue entertaining the conversation. So when this young guy handed my husband's frappuccino to him it was like cold chocolate soup, nothing like a frapp. When my husband showed me the drink, I told him to take it back in & have it remade. That's when the older gentleman was like "to be honest that was his first time making a drink". So he was so focused on his female employee & the conversation, he failed to even tell or show the young boy how to make the drink the 1st time, but took the time to show him when my husband handed the drink back. Which still wasn't that great after being remade. I'm also an avid Chai tea drinker & my Chai latte was far more milk than Chai tea. I've never seen my husband so upset over a situation. It clearly made him, as a man, uncomfortable & then to neglect your paying customers drink quality on top of that. We...
Read moreFloored by the rudeness of the red haired male barista that works here. He completely ignored my sisters and me. When we tried to order we had to ask multiple times before we got a response. The response we received was so disrespectful it shocked me. He said to us, “I am making coffee, one second” in the most annoyed voice while his back was turned to us. Then when both the coffees we received tasted burnt and watery, he never offered to remake them, refund them or apologize, he only questioned what tasted burnt. Still waiting for the refund he promised he had made. I have never been treated by service like that. If this wasn’t enough, he made a point to greet the man who came in after us with a “how are you doing today SIR” and be perfectly friendly to him. Don’t know if he was intentionally being sexist but it definitely came across that way. His attitude the entire time was absolutely awful. So...
