This was our first visit to Blue Deer on Main. Molly & Ayden are the sweetest! I didn’t know this place offered ice cream, and not just any ice cream. It’s shocking what kinds of ingredients are in the popular brands!!!! So often times I ask shops where they source. Here they offer ice cream that is sourced from Homeland Creamery, family-owned and operated for multiple generations in Julian, North Carolina with sustainable farming practices. They believe in taking amazing care of their cows and happy cows = better tasting milk. I can tell you right now we will never go back to the other ice cream purveyors after tasting this! My husband picked out a double chocolate cookies and ice cream, and I went with the strawberry cheesecake & vanilla ice cream. Words cannot convey how delish this treat was! We’ll be visiting their Boone location too when we visit our son at App State. Something about this ice cream just tasted more real! We’ll be telling everyone & just hope we can still get it, once I share as a top Google Guide, this is too good to keep a secret! Enjoy! Josephine Local Guide

What can I say? I came all the way from Florida just to have this coffee, LOL. It's the best pumpkin chai latte I've ever tasted. I came here last year and had to come back this year just to have it again. Of course, I also took in the beautiful scenery of the neighborhood itself. The staff is always great to talk to, and their ice cream sandwiches are amazing. So, if you're looking for a nice coffee joint to get some good coffee, definitely check it out.

Originally from FL and was craving ice cream while it was less than 20° outside while visiting. This store offered great ice cream sandwiches. They also sell muffins! I highly recommend trying the Red Velvet Cookie ice cream sandwich with chocolate ! If you're near the area, I definitely recommend stopping by. FYI: Parking might be a bit of a slight issue if you arrive during a busy weekend, but you can parallel park near the store.

This little spot tucked right on Main Street was the cutest! 🥹✨ The second we walked in, it smelled like warm cookies and fresh coffee—total comfort vibes. Blue Deer serves up handcrafted cookie ice cream sandwiches, coffee, and more. And the best part? You get to sample the ice cream before choosing (yes please! 🙌).

We went all in with two amazing combos: 🍫 Double chocolate chip cookies + lemon crunch ice cream 🍋 🍓 Strawberry cheesecake cookies + peach ice cream 🍑

I'm pretty sure this place saved me and my friend. We had been on a hike that we thought would be 1.5 hours that really ended up being 3 hours (our fault we got sidetracked in the beauty of the area). Anyway we need fuel and boy did this place not disappoint. Ice cream cookies can easily not work well. But this place was perfect. Ice cream to cookie ratio was perfect.
