Don't expect mind blowingly delicious food when you come to High Street Place. It's definitely one of those places you go for pictures and a good vibe.
There is a large selection of food accompanied by a nice bar scene. The place is decorated beautifully and kept really clean. I was also unexpectedly pleased by how comfortable the seating was.
We ate at Wheelhouse, Fuji, Tenderoni's, and Gorgeous Gelato, and the total came out to be about $60 for 2 people. The Wheelhouse burger was yummy but there was nothing super special about it. $10 for a normal double patty burger on a potato bun is a bit pricey IMO. Fuji was a bit disappointing. It looks great, but not really worth the price you're paying. The sashimi was just okay, not the freshest I've had, and the bed of arugula overpowered everything on the plate. Tenderoni's was yummy. Every inch of its surface is covered in their delicious pepperoni and the dough is delicious, soft, and crunchy (the outside is crusted with cheese). Generous Gelato was a great way to finish the meal. Flavors are great and very refreshing. Can't really go wrong with gelato.
Overall consensus/tldr: definitely worth a visit. It's a gorgeous building and is fun to walk through (and super clean). Your inner foodie and phone will appreciate the photo ops as well. However, don't expect to be having the best tasting food when...
Read moreI have a personal policy to not use single use plastics. So I went to one of the restaurants and they had compostable containers which was cool. Then when I went to compost the waste, there was only a trash or recycling bin. No compost bin. I asked one of the women who worked there where it was and she looked at me as if I had three eyes. Then I asked the lady at the place I bought the food from and she looked at me like I was nuts. In this day and age, in a place like Boston, we are still using single use plastics when there is plastic garbage everywhere, destroying the oceans. How can this be? I will write to them and ask them to provide this service and when they actually compost the tens of thousands of single use stuff they generate, I would happily patronize them again. Until then, sticking to Clover or bringing my take out containers if they...
Read moreOMG! What a great vibe! Thursday evening when we were there, and it's obviously a place where people gather after work, a popular thing to do on Thursdays. The place was alive with very good music, not too loud, and filled with great energy (going to date myself here but, once upon a time, we'd have said there were lots of happy Yuppies enjoying a drink and a snack. Is that still a word in use?!?! 😃). A good selection of foods to choose from; we bought from Cumin Indian Eats. The staff were super and genuinely grateful for the orders they were getting (not an easy industry to survive in), and their recommendations were on the money! We had our first ever Naanzaa (pizza but on a naan) with East Indian toppings...Yummy! I don't know if it's like that every evening but great value and a...
