Very South End. Stylish space, strong food, solid drinks.

Newest spot from the MAZI group. They’ve been around South End forever, so obviously, they know how to pull in the neighborhood crowd. Classic French bistro energy but with an elevated, casual American fusion twist.

The big change from their other spots was that they were walk-in only (no res available). We rolled in early on a Friday evening and snagged a table inside right away. By 7 p.m., the place got busy, but it seemed like there were still a few tables floating around.

Summer Salad – Peach, plum, tomato. Really simple, but each piece was perfectly ripe and balanced (zero sourness). The sumac vinaigrette and cracked pepper amped up the tomato’s umami and turned it into a sweet-savory refresher.

Bone Marrow – Smaller bones used (less marrow), but the classic combo still worked. The beef cheek marmalade added a deep, jammy sweetness that overlapped nicely with the toast’s caramelized edges.

Pan-Seared Halibut – Crisped just right, with the interior soft and moist. The succotash veggies were fine, but the fish deserved something heartier alongside it.

Jambalaya Risotto – Arborio cooked all the way through, more jambalaya texture than risotto. A little too mushed together for me, and could’ve used more Creole spice. Still, the meats were tender and the...

Seemed like it could have been a lovely place. My husband and I came in on the evening of our wedding anniversary. We spent all day walking around and exploring Boston and this spot looked busy yet inviting. We didn’t have reservations but we were told the wait would be short and we could grab a seat at the bar in the meantime. I grabbed a seat and skimmed over the menu and the bartender was eager to get us drinks going. We decided to just wait until we sat to eat and let him know we’d stick with water and he was extremely rude. He kinda scoffed and asked if we were planning to eat because people were waiting to sit down. We were those people. I was exhausted and hungry after a long day and looking forward to capping the night of my anniversary with my husband. I was so put off by this bartender that we started to leave but the lovely man who greeted us said a table was ready. We tried to sit and brush it off, but unfortunately I was already too upset, so we ended up leaving. Such a shame because I was looking forward to trying the food and being in the atmosphere. Hopefully they hire some better waitstaff who prioritize hospitality and service over how fast they can turn tables and how much their...

I have been here twice. this is a great neighborhood spot to grab drinks and small bites for dinner. The portions are definitely smaller than you would expect, but not necessarily a bad thing. We had the fish and chips which were unique as it came as three individual tender shapes but really worked well. Mac & cheese was average and we really enjoyed the deviled eggs. I really liked sitting on the windowsill people watching with drinks on a summer day. The only downside is that they do not have a full liquor license so all the drinks are made with cordials. Hoping that will change one day as this would be a great place to hangout with a...

Visited Louis Corner about a week after they opened. We stopped by for some after-dinner drinks, and a friend wanted an appetizer. It was fairly crowded with a lively (but a little noisy) vibe. I had the Tropical Spritz — nicely presented but way too sour for my taste. My partner tried the Canyon Glow, which he rated 4/5 — well made, just not his style. Unfortunately, the kitchen had already closed, so no food this time. The place itself is stylish and photogenic, so I’d like to come back on a proper night to try the full experience.
