Melting Sun — Restaurant in Boston

The food is actually decent and felt realer than DD, Nero or Starbucks. But the staff was not professional and SO rude.

I ordered a breakfast sandwich on a different bread and got it on my least favorite, Englishmuffin . I kindly asked for the correct ciabatt and the man was angry. Got the right bread and proceeded to gut the inside of the old sandwich with his hands (though gloved) to put into the right bread. Felt like he was preparing dog food immediately. Disrespectful honestly. You could have offered me the right bread and I would have done it. There's melted cheese and a fragile egg white that all fell apart immediately. He was then upset I asked for a new one and threw (yes THREW) my food around and it came back barely assembled. Hard pass. I love highlighting mom and pops but now I'm going to have to let you know, avoid it. Get better...

I ordered a number 1 and the cashier charged me for a number 9 when i tried explaining the mistake and handing back the previous order to get the sandwich i actually wanted the cashier instead of giving me what I actually ordered stated " i heard you say number 9" and then tried to charge me for a number 1 which is just a bacon egg and cheese on a plain bagel not only did i notice i was over charged for the #9 (plain bagel with cream cheese) that was $5.43 a dollar more then what i wanted but i didn't even get what i wanted. On top of that I ordered a Jamaican beef patty that was sitting out, the cashier microwaved it for 3mins and then had one of the cooks oven bake it, it tastes absolutely disgusting will never buy from here again.

Went here in January of 2025. Food was alright, ordered some kind of Salmon bagel and an iced coffee. The service was horrible though, I had to repeat my order THREE times because the employees could not understand me. I ate half my food, and my train arrived before I could finish the rest. So I left the other (untouched, clean) half of my bagel with them and said “Please give this other half to anybody who’s hungry around here.” Because there is a large homeless crowd that hangs around in South Station, and they are very friendly and kind. The staff of Melting Sun looked at me like I had horns growing out of my head for doing such a thing, so I just left my food on the counter and left. Do not eat here if you care about...
