I just had to share my experience at [Bar Name] last night because it was, to put it lightly, quite underwhelming. From the moment I stepped inside, I felt a wave of disappointment wash over me.
First off, the ambiance was just off. The lighting was far too dim, making it hard to even read the menu. It felt more like a poorly lit basement than a lively bar. The decor, if you can even call it that, was a mismatched collection of cheap posters and faded pictures that seemed like they hadn't been updated since the bar opened. Instead of creating a welcoming atmosphere, it just felt cluttered and uninviting.
Then there was the service. It took an eternity for anyone to acknowledge us, and when we finally did get a server, they seemed overwhelmed and uninterested. We waited over 15 minutes just to place our order, and when our drinks finally arrived, they were lukewarm at best. I ordered a cocktail, which was not only poorly mixed but also tasted watered down, leaving me wondering if they even used quality ingredients. For a place that claims to be a cocktail bar, I expected much more.
To make matters worse, the bar was ridiculously loud. It was hard to hold a conversation without shouting, and I found myself straining to hear my friends over the blaring music. I appreciate a good vibe, but when you can’t even hear the person next to you, it’s just too much. Adding to the chaos was a group of rowdy patrons who seemed to think the bar was their personal party zone. Their antics only added to the disarray and made the whole atmosphere feel chaotic rather than fun.
The drink prices were another issue. I understand that bars need to make a profit, but the markup was outrageous given the quality of what we received. I was expecting craft cocktails and a nice selection of beers, but it felt like we were paying for the name rather than the experience. For the same price, I could have gone to a far better bar with actual craftsmanship in their drinks and a pleasant ambiance.
And let’s not forget about cleanliness. The tables were sticky, and the floors looked like they hadn’t seen a mop in ages. It’s one thing to have a busy bar, but basic hygiene should never be overlooked. It made me wonder about the cleanliness of the glassware and utensils as well.
All in all, I walked away from [Bar Name] feeling let down. It had the potential to be a great spot, but it seems like they’ve lost sight of what really matters. If you're looking for a place to grab a drink, I’d recommend steering clear of this one. There are so many better options out there that actually care about their patrons' experiences.
Let’s catch up soon at...
Read moreIf you want a greasy $10-$25 meal with poor service this place is for you. I was here for the 5/29 Celtics game on Memorial Day and it was such a poor experience even though on my friends were able to get a reservation for 5.
The hosts seemed inexperienced and barely gave anyone the time of day. They greeted everyone with poor attitudes and didn’t know how to handle rush hour …….despite being a sports bar outside of TD Garden! Many parties including ours had to wait 10-25 minutes for tables to open up even though we had “confirmed” reservations. It seriously makes you question the integrity of a business if they prioritize walk-ins as opposed to interested customers who took the time to book ahead of time. They even seated a group of walk- ins before other reservations and didn’t account for party sizes ahead of time.
The food was mid-tied, GREASY, and overpriced. It took 40 minutes to receive our food. We ordered several appetizers including the Fried Pickles and they were awful… and I eat practically anything. The food was either poorly cooked, not properly seasoned, or tasted like it came from a FROZEN BOX. A few of us got burgers and they were either undercooked or way over with cold Pattie’s. The only redeemable part of our night was a flatbread pizza which you can’t mess up!
Management was extremely poor and the place was severely understaffed. Another table next to us also had similar complaints and said that the old place, The Fours was a lot better by far. Other people said they talked to management (Jon and Maddie) but they seemed condescending. My friends and I even saw one of them give a worker attitude. I honestly felt bad for the staff who I could tell were probably stressed out.
I would not recommend coming here! It is a waste of time and money. You’d honestly have a better time watching games from your own couch...
Read moreStopped in to check it out before a Bruins game on a Thursday night. Food is overpriced and terrible. Everything they cook started out as frozen. Burgers consisted of 2 tiny patties similar in size and consisitency as mcdonalds. We ordered the poutine fries and received tater tots with canned gravy poured on top. Ordered boneless wings and received wings with way too much spicy barbecue sauce on it as to make it impossible to eat. I wasnt even asked how I wanted my burger cooked. When it arrived it was cooked on the outside and red and cold on the inside. Telltale sign frozen patties were used. What was really gross was the ketchup and blue cheese dressing. Each arrived in tiny portions in a plastic cup and had a thick film on top. The cups were clearly poured hours ago and left to sit on a counter. This is a serious problem and could make people sick.
The food is way overpriced. Ownership is clearly trying to capitalize on the old fours reputation by building a sad replica in its place and charging ridiculous prices for cafteria food.
As for service, the food took 40 minutes to come out and the place wasnt busy.
There are better options in the area.
Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. I...
