Tatte Bakery & Cafe | One Boston Place — Restaurant in Boston

This is the worst tatte experience we have had. The cashier (woman with deep red hair and glasses) was in a bad mood, therefore, distracted; she rushed us to order and wasn't taking the order correctly. We spoke to her in Spanish (our mother tongue) to make ourselves clear on what we wanted (she clearly speaks Spanish, she was talking to the other cashier in Spanish ) and just gave us a very upset look and spoke a faster unintelligible English while giving us an eye roll. She messed up our order and got annoyed when we asked for a correction, leaving in the middle of a sentence and transferring us to a different cashier (she was sweet and tried to help; girl with glasses and long hair with highlights) but then a different employee (woman with long black hair) came and jump in the conversation denying the correction of the order (ceramic cup instead of paper and the size of the beverages, which was clearly stated to the first cashier).

The plate was delicious but the beverages were awful: the chai latte tasted like water with a drop of coffee and a drop of milk and the coffee was insufficient due to the size confusion of the cashier.

We love tatte but we will not be coming back to this location. We highly suggest you to avoid it,...

Honestly was initially super in love with the place and one of my favorite stops when it came to sandwiches when I was working in Boston- but now it’s just going down hill, especially after today’s experience :( For starts this location is ALWAYS PACKED and disorganized when it comes to the flow of people traffic, but from there when it comes to ordering ahead there is a wall with bags placed in alphabetic order and spite being there ahead of pick up time, my order was STOLEN. There is no checking of a confirmation code or anything unless it’s a DoorDash or Grubhub! And then when my friend brings up our said stolen lunch they said they don’t believe us and accuse us of lying SPITE HAVING THE ORDER CONFORMATION EMAIL. So I then need to ask for a manager who seemed like she was try to do anything but assist in our issue. Only to finally get our order almost an,HOUR of waiting AFTER ORDERING, just for it to be wrong :’( what the heck how disappointing. My friend was greatly offended by how he was treated and how brushed off he felt even after having proof of our purchase! And the true cherry on top was the incorrect order when the sticker on the bag is correct -.- greatly disappointed, thanks...

Tatte is probably my favorite restaurant. I am usually really happy with what I order, and a few dishes (shakshuka and croque madame, nutbox, I'm looking at you) are my favorite foods anywhere. I have some constructive criticism though.

First, ditch the round cafe tables. One plate takes the whole table, leaving no space for your friend to eat comfortably with you. Forget about setting your laptop up while eating.

Second, some of the desserts need adjustments. Overall, anything lemon based needs more lemon and less sugar. When I bite into a lemon meringue tart or a pavlova, I expect to taste a bright, citrusy, refreshing curd. It's missing here - all I get is the intense sweetness of meringue.

Overall, Tatte is great! Keep doing awesome things. Visitors should be sure to try the lemonade (best anywhere), the brownies (with nuts!!), and the shakshuka. Pear tarts and (when in season) stone fruit gallette are...
