We have been repeat offenders at The Draft since moving to Allston a year ago. It is the perfect local haunt for us because it's within walking distance from our house and because of it's affordable daily specials. I am usually lured in because of their 35 cent wing special on Sunday and Monday (especially during football season) and Downeast Cider on draft! It's a beautiful combination of spicy buffalo wings and unfiltered cider heaven. Be sure to try their Cooperstown sauce which is hard to describe but trust me that it is a tangy treat. I like to ask them to cook the wings a little longer since I like them a little more well done then they are usually dished up there. Your wings won't come with celery/carrots and ranch/blue cheese is extra, but I remedy that by ordering either a caesar salad or cobb salad, both of which are delicious. Tuesday you can get a draft beer/cider and a burger and fries for $6 and Thursday they have $1 sliders-- your usual burger variety, pulled pork, hot dog, and reubens to name a couple.
One of my favorite things about The Draft is that they play music during commercials during football season... it's such a simple thing to do, but it's really appreciated when you are out and don't want to hear all about Charmin Ultra Soft.
Check out their patio out back during the good weather! They have tables, a bar, some cushioned lounge areas, and a fire pit for when it gets chilly at night.

Read moreWe went in for the wing deal — which to be honest is why I’ve given this place 2 stars. The wings were great, especially for the price. However, the bar service was the worst I’ve ever experienced. I’m in the industry, so I never write reviews. But this was ridiculous. We sat waiting at the bar — on a Monday night, where there’s probably 10 other guests — and had to flag down a bartender just to get a beer. Afterwards, any time we wanted to order our food or another beer, it was such an ordeal. Once again, it wasn’t busy; otherwise I would completely understand. But the entire bartending/serving staff was hanging out, talking to each other, and disregarding any bar patrons. At one point, a guest, whom the staff was talking to the entire time, goes behind the bar and starts chugging from the bottle. What do the staff do? Order him to leave the bar or at least get out from behind the bar? Nope. Nothing was done. The bar manager took the handle and placed it in the ice bin, without wiping it down or handling th situation. Furthmore, we ordered nachos and wings. The wings were great. Can’t say enough about them. But the nachos were cold, the cheese clumped, and the salsa was cheap.
I was super excited to try a new bar in the Allston area. The beer prices were great and the atmosphere seemed chill — but damn, can someone do their job in that...
Read morenormally, come here to have drinks and dance and it's a good time. the bouncer at the door recognizes my friend and I and still checks our id every time, super annoying. I'm 36 yrs old. he said " it's my decision whether I want to remember you or not" ... we only get older, not younger. power trip much?? this last time, the bartender made a mistake w our drinks gave us tequila instead of Titos. I informed him and asked for him to change it. first , he got an attitude, started sloppingly putting our drink together, served us very little alcohol and then didn't fill the cup like he did the other drink. I said , "Could you fill it pls?" and pointed to the original drink for comparison. he then said, "Why am i yelling?" I definitely wasn't. but he was trying to play the victim and act like he was in the right. I told him he made an error and it was his job to fix it. the customer service in this place is lacking. I know working in the service business is hard, so that's why I'm always kind. but it's things like this that make you not want to return. immaturity and letting authority get to their heads. I may wait some time before I return here. maybe if they...
