We bought a box of cupcakes. They were very pretty, attractive and affordable, however the base of the cupcakes, th cake were very basic tasting, except for the carrot cake one.
The icing on top here all tasted as if it had a bit too much butter. The texture was good and the flavors were different in the creamy icing, but very light in flavor, not very flavorable
More like a cafe trying to be too many things at one time.
I went for breakfast and to my surprise they also had a cooking station with a menu.
I bought a pastry, coffee, salmon sandwich and a grilled cheese sandwich.
The pastry, a pumpkin muffin with a crumble top was moist and delicious.
The grilled cheese on the other hand was not even grilled! it was between what seemed to be artisan white bread sliced and the cheese melted. A melted cheese sandwich.
The Salmon had the same artisan bread and was a good size however it was bland even though it had a generous spread in it. The ingredients in the sandwich were very fresh
The coffee, which was a maple coffee was bland and unfavorable, but they aren't a coffee shop.
PROS:
-Fresh ingredients
-Clean atmosphere
-Cozy
-Good pastries and baked goods.
CONS:
-The cooked menu items
So go for a quick pastry, get a drink...
Read moreThis is a great cafe to grab a homemade sandwich, soup, salad, or baked good. I had a (fresh-carved) turkey sandwich with cranberry chutney, lettuce, tomato, and I added avocado. My friend got the salad with goat cheese and it looked yummy. If I was hungrier, I would have tried one of the homemade soups! Everything is made from scratch and a lot healthier than a place like Panera Bread which has tons of hidden calories in the breads and sandwiches. Highly recommended and delicious!!
The only drawback is that the seating area can get pretty cramped and the people working there weren't rude per say, but they weren't extremely friendly either. Also, expect to pay $10 for salads and $3-5 for soup...

The same great location, same beautiful views of the river and Main St., however, this is definitely a new Amy's.
The food and drinks are all very good, but the menu is very, very limited and the service is fairly slow. The front counter staff is responsible for all the drinks, breads, and spreads, so when large orders of those types (which comprise a significant portion of the menu), half of operation is brought nearly to a halt.
Not the best front end system and limited options, but they are ostensibly new so I can only hope things grow smoother in the future and that the...
