Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Buena Park

I usually come to this chilis at least once a month or once every two months or so and I have never had a problem until now. I ordered an old timer with cheese substitute the mustard for santa fe sauce. I didn't think it was going to be a complicated order. A different waiter brought my food and the burger was plain with only pepper jack cheese. I told him I didn't order this and I explained that it's just an old timer with cheese and substitute mustard for santa fe sauce. So he brought it back and it didn't have Santa fe sauce. I kindly told him there's no Santa fe sauce and he's like isn't that Santa fe sauce in their and I'm like there's no dressing at all its still plain with only the veggies and meat. So I just told him can I have the sauce on the side and he's like okay. He comes back to bring me buffalo sauce and at first I didn't realize until I tried it and I told him that I got buffalo sauce and he said I'm sorry and he brought me back my Santa fe sauce. I was okay with that but I was just confused not mad because they didn't have a rush. I was more upset that my bf and I got a bartender as our waitress because she never came back to see if everything was okay and never gave me any refills which I was upset about. She only came back when she saw us paying and asked if everything was okay and I just smiled and said yes. I didn't give her a tip because she didn't even came back to us at all. I just don't like it how we sometimes get bartender as a waiter/waitress because they focus too much on the bar and we get bad service and I was sitting in the booth. I rather wait for a table where I would get a regular waitress or waiter who actually comes back to us. I really like one of the waitress there who always wears her face mask and she's my favorite because she actually asks us if we need anything else and she always comes back for refills. She even remembers us whenever we go because we kinda go often. It would of been nice having her as our waitress because I wouldn't have written this review. I wasn't really upset about my food being wrong, I was more like really I didn't complicate anything, my order was simple. That's why I like the waitress with her face mask on because at least she understands my order and I don't think it's difficult to understand because I've worked in the food industry for at least a year and a half and my order isn't complicated at all. I'm just upset that I didn't receive good service. I'm not the type of person to go in a restaurant to demand a specific waiter or have everyone know my order, I get that mistakes happen but the thing the bothered me the most was not receiving any service and I felt completely ignored. Other than that I'm still going to this chilis. I'm just not having it today because of...

❌UPDATE❌

Woooo!! Do we love coming here for adult birthday dinners!! Lol okay maybe a little too much. This place I enjoy for adult birthdays because we can have margaritas and the kids can order from cheese pizza to half rack of bbq ribs. This time it was my dad's birthday and obviously the kids decided and okay me too decided to bring him here for dinner.

Parking: there's plenty of parking since it's at the Buena Park Mall. Parking close to the restaurant maybe you won't find on busy days like Fridays and weekends.

Service: From the host to the server always excellent. Our server Alex was great and she got all of our orders correct and was very attentive checking that we were doing okay. We did special request to sing Happy birthday to my dad, which btw it caught him completely off guard lmbo!! The best face expression! All thanks to Alex and the Chili's crew...thank you all!

Food/Drinks: Our food was delicious my son ordered a cheese pizza with fries, he is not a fries kids but he does like the ones from Chili's. I ordered shrimp and steak skillet, my dad ordered the similar just with double shrimp. My mom had half rack of bbq ribs w/chicken strips, fries, texas toast, and cob. My daughter got herself half rack of bbq with fries and coleslaw. Everything was delicious, I personally love the green bell peppers and grilled onions on my skillet and I always put some of my red rice in the bowl of black beans that comes in my order. Yum! Yum! For drinks and I will only call out the adult drinks. We ordered the mango iced tea and strawberry lemonade lol okay lets go to the real adult drinks which were only a couple. The patron margarita, presidente margarita and finished with another patron margarita because my dad liked it was kinda strong lol.

For dessert we digged in to his special Molten Chocolate cake lol that cake had no chance against all five of us lol so chocolaty but not super sweet! Just perfect to my sweet tooth :D

1st Review: Went in today for lunch and was greeted right away. We didn’t have to wait to be seated as it was not too busy. Ordered our drinks and food right away. I had the sizzling combo of steak and shrimp, although my steak was a little over done it had very good flavor. My mom ordered half rack house bbq with jalapeño cheddar sausage. NEVER COMING TO CHILI'S BUENA PARK AGAIN.

Came in after spending some family time with the kiddos at Knott's and looked forward to a nice meal. We were greeted nicely and wait wasnt too bad,about 10 min or so and server was nice as well. Got our drinks and appetizer, chips and salsa. Placed our order and waited. Waited , waited and waited. Looked around to find my server and no sign. And it's not like the restaurant was extremely packed, but About 40-45 min after order was placed , our server comes out and informs that shes sorry the order is taking a little longer than normal. However , a larger party than mine( mind you it was my 2 small children and i) come in some time after us , sit, order and receive their food and we hadn't even gotten ours. Only chips and salsa and the kids are tired and hungry asking are they ever going to bring our food mommy? At this point I'm also tired and hungry myself but frustrated and annoyed and just upset. So I looked around for my server, couldn't find her, and some one walked by, Shift manager I assume and said please cancel my order. She walks away and a couple minutes later here comes our server with salads that were order almost an hr ago. Just cancel my order. I just dont understand how a party that came much more after us got their food faster than us. Server proceeded to inform me that the manager was going to be picking up our check because of this but I'm sorry, it's not worth waiting for the food to be "almost done" when it was so close to closing. We just could not wait any longer for our food and it was just shy of 10 pm. We got up and left. Maybe it's my fault for not asking sooner the status of our order but even then,servers work for their tips . They should provide the best service possible no matter how big or small the party. Still hungry but never again...
