I was feeling adventurous and decided to check out Kuni Sashimi House, a Korean and Japanese fusion restaurant in Buena Park. The food was fresh, delicious, and generous. I ordered the tacos, which were actually sashimi wrapped in seaweed with various toppings. They were amazing and flavorful, and came in a metal taco holder that made me feel like a cowboy. The sashimi was very fresh and tender, and the sauces were spicy and tangy. I also tried some of their other dishes, such as the live octopus, the oysters, and the uni pasta. They were all very good and satisfying, but not as good as the tacos. The place was very cozy and nice, with a farmhouse chic decor and windows that let in natural light. The service was friendly and attentive, and they checked on us frequently. They also brought us many side dishes that came with the sashimi combo, such as soup, salad, rice, kimchi, and more. They were all tasty and complemented the main dishes well, but not as well as the tacos. I would highly recommend Kuni Sashimi House to anyone who loves sashimi or wants to try something different and creative. They have a variety of dishes to choose from, ranging from traditional to fusion. They also have breakfast, brunch, bakery, and catering options. They source their ingredients from local farms and their own farm in Temecula, which makes their food fresh and organic. Kuni Sashimi House is a hidden gem that delivers quality and taste, especially the tacos.

Kuni Sashimi – Now Serving Mini Sashimi Combos! 🍣✨ If you’ve been wanting to try Kuni Sashimi but hesitated because of their massive portions, you’re in luck! They just introduced NEW Mini Sashimi Combos ($65)—perfect for a date night or bestie dinner without committing to a huge platter. You still get the same fresh, high-quality sashimi, plus all the extras like porridge, corn cheese, miso soup, steamed egg, and spicy fish soup—so worth it! I mainly came back to check out their new menu, but surprise twist—the Spicy Sea Eel Stir Fry ($28.95) lowkey stole the show! 🔥 Spicy, savory, and packed with flavor—definitely a must-try! ✨ Why You Should Go: ✔ Mini sashimi options = less commitment, same great quality ✔ Still comes with all the delicious side dishes ✔ Perfect for sharing & variety lovers! ⭐ Overall Rating: 9.5/10 (9.5 because everything literally was good but uni pasta wasn’t just what I was looking for, but they do have really good uni and creamy taste 👅) 🍣 Must-Try: Mini Sashimi Combo & Spicy Sea Eel Stir Fry 🚗 Parking: Free plaza parking—super easy!

Recommended by locals. The place was almost full, and I saw some good reviews. So expectation was high. My wife ordered these two dishes, 물회 and 꼼장어볶음. Total was $50. They looked great as you can see in the picture. Normally followed by "these are delicious." However, that never came out of my mouth. 물회 had more noodles than 회. It was more like 회냉면 with flavorlessbroth. 꼼장어 came out sizzling hot sitting on caramelized onions with sliced garlic and pepper. Dipping sauce was pretty good, and I enjoyed. However, again there was lack of flavor and slightly burnt taste to it. I felt like they just copied from someone's menu without making them their own. We saw other dishes that people ordered around our table. They all looked good, and maybe we just ordered wrong dishes. We may give them the benefit of the doubt and give them another shot next time but I am very disappointed with our dinner.

My friend and I decided to stop by here on a whim since we were craving some type of sashimi. We both hadn't had Korean sashimi before, so we wanted to compare how it was to Japanese sashimi. We decided to go with the Assorted Sashimi Platter. It came with toro, salmon, tuna, yellowtail, halibut, and octopus. And wow! That thing was massive for just the two of us. It was definitely a good portion for 3-4 people. The combo itself came with a phletora of banchan. The first set of banchan had items like: cold cabbage soup, corn cheese, steamed egg, kimchi, raw marinated shrimp, live octopus, raw oysters, miso soup, and abalone congee. We were then given our sashimi platter. The fish was pretty fresh, and the slices were nice and thick. We made mini handrolls without rice, and just used the kimchi. I feel like we should've asked for rice since the pieces were thick, but we didn't want to make ourselves prematurely full. Our favorites were the toro, octopus, and the yellowtail. It was a very different experience since we were given sesame oil, but we were also given soy sauce and wasabi too. We ended up ordering the uni pasta, which is made out of uni paste, cooked uni, and udon. It was definitely tasty and different than most places that we've tried before. We didn't know there was a second set of banchan coming our way, which included items like: spicy few stew, fish tacos, takoyaki, tonkatsu, sardines, tteokbokki, potato pancake, mackerel, tempura, and a crunch roll. It was so much food! We ended up having to pack some food to go. More than enough with the portions - definitely family style type servings. Highly suggest coming with an appeite and with more than 2 people. There were tanks of fresh seafood, and an ample amount of seating. The service was quick. The parking was free in the plaza. We definitely enjoyed...
